It looks like in 30M, the MTF entry settings were not met for an entry. When it met the condition, trix was going opposite way.

It had another short trade last night but it turned against us again. All criteria met. Any suggestions?

Still no trades on the EUR/AUD H1 or H4. There must be a setting that is preventing me from having any trades. A few times it has looked as though there should have been. On the current H1 for example.

Based on your set file, 1M Fast, 1M Slow, 5M Fast all three have to agree with trade direction + Price has to cross ichimoku by atleast 2 pips. Since the MTF have repainted, I cannot say why it did not take the trade. I guess you do know that it is not any 3 MTF to match, but 1M Fast, 1M Slow, 5M Fast of MTF has to match according to your set file.

Karun, did you read my post ? I write that entries marked with orange vertical lines are only repeinted, and the last one with RED vertical line is OK...Anyway today too no trades. I had post for you earlier a set file without ichimoku too. As for testing my MT4 i tried the default settings for EA to see if it open any trades - Yes it is working. But i am not able to get entries based on these 3 Trix histos. Any suggestions ?

I did some minor changes to a set file like turn on money management and set profit to 100% instead of partial.I also am using the jpy crosses and the majors.So far +59.00 profit over night.Will continue to test the set file and see how it goes.Not sure if I should turn partial profits back on or what other tweaks should be done? I do see some trades closing at 0.0 but I rather have 0.0 then a loss?

Does anyone testing 1min TF with Trix Histo lights ? (patterns, coral, ichimoku, Trix rules switched OFF) ? What kind of results do you get ?

Hello Sefton, What makes you think the EA should have taken a trade on the 1H , please, based on this chart ? What time and what conditions met ?

Sorry, I missed the red line. As far as I can say it did match all the entry selections, and EA should have taken trade. I know there is an issue in opening trades with MTF indicators alone as entry/exit signals. We are working on that, meanwhile below is the detailed explanation from Xux on that:-

When closed candles of MTF indicators are used for entry signals, there is no way of knowing the color of two bars back. The reason is that MTF indicators repaint and metatrader can't give us an indicator value at a specific time in the past, we can only know closed candles values. The EA takes only fresh signals meaning that a non MTF indicator should turn from false to true to give a valid fresh signal. If we only use closed candles of MTF indicators for entry, there will be no fresh signal. MTF indicators entries based on unclosed candles can give a fresh signal as we know the indicator value of the previous closed candle.

Please feel free to tweak it as much as you want. All this trades are one tf or different tf's?

All on 15m tf.One drawback was that I did have to turn off most of the indicators since all the pairs did cause the memory to used on terminal from 200000 to 300000.Also on the tweaking, I am having a hard time backtesting so only tweaking I can do is in forward testing.

I am sorry but i do not get the explanation of Xux. I am just thinking - I am not a coder and do not know anything about it , but why we are using 110 & 100 & etc settings if they do not work , or it is only when used Histo alone for entry and exit ? I do not understand the "there is no way of knowing the color of two bars back" - why two bars back ? Again i am not a coder but can suggest it do though - If entries or exits are based only on MTF Histo and our setup comes we can enter at open of next candle. I think it will be only one bar back data.

Well, I am certainly a beginner when it comes to all of this, still learning the ins and outs of forex trading, indicators, THV and EAs, so I could easily be wrong. But neither one of my charts has made a single trade all week and I thought that the settings were good. Naturally, that could just mean that there hasn't been a valid trade all week.

In the H1 picture I included, right at the end of the chart when the screenshot was taken, it appears to me that the price is across the Ichimoku by more than 3 pips, that the Fast Trix is in the same direction, that it is neither Overbought nor Oversold, and that the MTF Trix and Ichimoku Dots are also indicating the same.

Again, I am a beginner. Does having 3 patterns selected as possible entry signs mean that it will only trade if one of those patterns is present? I didn't think so, but I don't know.

I am trying to help out testing this EA as best I can, so any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

yesterday, I caught the big move in g/u. Got 100 odd pips in that trade. TF was 4hrs. but got got stopped out at 100 pips (the message was to the effect that the trade was terminated because of a stoploss!).
I dont know if this trade was a freak one but I've not been able to trade on 4hr TF for 2nd time.

Yes, any 1 of the 3 patterns has to be present when there is an entry signal from other settings. If it is keeping you of many trades, you can try setting all patterns to 0.

Same here on EURUSD. I am turning patterns off and disregarding higher TF Ichimoku. Otherwise I may not see a trade this month!

I had already turned off the higher TF Ichmoku, but I think I will follow suit, as Karun also said, and turn off the patterns to see what happens tomorrow (as I am trading these charts during the Asia/London sessions).
