Yes you can change color. After you do all changes save your template with a new name, else the system will revert to the initial template as soon as you close the chart.
If you're not part of the solution then you're part of the problem.

I use a variety of exit signals:

1.) Fixed pips e.g. 10 - 15 pips close 50% - 75% of the position and then BE to entry.
2.) Some level of support or resistance e.g. pivot point or as in the example of the last chart I posted, on the 5 min the PA stopped exactly at the high the candle to the left....
3.) if I see a clear divergence signal against my trade I will usually exit part of the position...
4.) sometime i use the trix to close positions if, for example, it also bounces of a TRIX trendline...

I rarely close position based on change of trix color, not that it is not a good strategy, I just have not observed that method....

if you are in a good run perhaps change of the HA color maybe a good time to exit....

anyone else have any comments?

Hi Cash. I agree with you. I usually try to put my SL "behind" some strong pivot. Qtrs work well for this. For my M30 trading, I'm usually using 40 or 50 pip SL, needing most of it but not getting taken out.

I agree that color change on Trix is not necessarily a good exit point. I initially thought it was, but that often causes premature exit - not good for the wallet.

I really agree, exiting on color change of fast Trix is expensive business, I don't think it would be a profitable system this way (at least not on the M30).

Hi,

Anyone use the THV T3, with setting of 10, for exit? Haven't used myself, just looking. Saves you sometimes, but also gets you out when PA leaves you in dust. Agree, change of color on trix, is not best, but what is?

thx to you and thx to special, but for smaller tf? i think that in 1m or 5' i cannot base my exit on pivot.. or see other divergence..

backwaching when a HA candle close on the other side of the cloud you have to close your trade.. but every time is a bad exit..too late

thanks for help. But I changed colors then save as themplate, new, and everything return back except coral and trix if I change periodicity...also try reload MetaTrader... I dont know what can I doing wrong?..

Hi adunk,
While I don't use the setting of 10...you may want to look at this.
When T3 enters the cloud...especially if it's hooking...consider an exit.
This is scalping mode on the M1 of course...take a few, leave a few and then come back for a few more.

If you mean the trix mtf histos, try using the BarColorUp and BarColorDown params on the input tab.

Some of you guys look like your "cloud" is a solid blue. I'm with ibfx, is anybody with them able to get the solid blue color? I can thickin the lines but I think that's it...???

Hey there, just double click the cloud and u can adjust the thickness of the lines to make is solid.

There were a few good trades on the M30 and M15 the last 2-3 hours, all delivered 30-40 pips, nice!
Gotta love this system.

Another question that I had: On which currency pairs do you trade this system?
Does it work on all of them, does it work better on some than others?
so far I tested it on GPBJPY, EURJPY, EURUSD.

Someone on here uses THV on GBPUSD and AUDUSD. I suspect it works the same on all of them.

Been away awhile, just now able to have the time to begin moderate posting for awhile longer.....will restrain myself.....will not post but this one chart for my buddy SpecialEd to cipher!

That chart looks Gannish, but more like a Doblece creation. Is it? We haven't heard from her in a long while either.
