a great lost in deed, I use to enjoy his posts, with all the cars and the women and buzz, oh what a dream, i had the impresion i was in sao pablo, brazil, or Rio, gold up dollar down, shawn flu up humans and clones, i mean clowns down, shot the clowns, shot them all, i leave here in texas cesar, and i was fixing the sprinkler system and some black juice came out is that oil you think?

All that’s old is new again. That’s the theme this week as Congress moves to wrestle credit card issuers to the ground. They’re right to put a cap on the reckless lending habits of our nation’s largest loan sharks, but the unintended consequences have us reeling. Card issuers threaten that charging their worst customers less means they'll have to start charging their best* customers more (like annual fees and intra-month interest).
That’s right. Shame on you who pay off your cards each month! The industry has a word for you fiscally responsible, budget minded customers: “Deadbeats!”**
But wait a minute. Is it really a threat to issue cards only to those with good credit? Can they really scare us with annual fees? That is, after all, the way it used to be; and it worked well. The system was balanced. Maybe it’s time to stop targeting those who can’t pay and focus on those who can.

Ratings agency Standard & Poor's lowered its outlook on Britain to negative on Thursday, citing government debt that would be hard to rein in and political uncertainty about the policy response with an election looming.

Gonna be one HARD day for Cable players...

hmm..stocks,make me remember my day's at barton sharman...you know all the big money pushing,some big client comes and you put a couple of mills in one stock moves up couple of point and your out already,more traditional,i don't see lilmoe and merlin also,are they banned for life also,what's happening here,george,karmo,monarch,auslanco,hakuna matata..how is the week going,difficult to loose in the stock,if you got big money behind you,you doing the client thing or personal trading..

Or we could build an EA in the Metrader that everytime you press buy or sell, it prompts shit like:

"Confirm order? You have kids to feed, you know...."

"Uh-Oh, sure wife's out of the room?"

"Buy Euro now??? Really? Don't curse on me when things go wrong, buddy".


And when you confirm it, it prompts:

"Order to buy Euro filled. Say goodbye to your trip to the beach this year"

I couldn't help noticing today how the U.K.'s credit rating had been reduced. Is this the same company that was giving mortgage and loan derivative packages AAA ratings a few months ago?

And the US could be on its way down the drain, too...

Market fears that the U.S. is at risk of losing its AAA credit rating is sending the dollar, stocks and bonds under severe selling pressure on Thursday, Bill Gross, co-chief investment officer of PIMCO told CNBC.

"I don’t think it will happen quickly, but I think the market views the possibility as an increasing one," Gross said. "I mean, the U.K. was downgraded last night, and the market views those two countries, the U.K. and the U.S., as relative twins."

Dow -129, we've seen heavier selloffs for much less than that...

In my opinion, those are the guys to whom there must be a crisis somewhere or they can't be happy.

And the bailouts are back in town

May 21 (Bloomberg) -- GMAC LLC, the auto and home lender that was bailed out in December, received $7.5 billion from the U.S. Treasury to expand lending to customers of Chrysler LLC and bolster capital levels following the government’s stress test.
The investment includes $4 billion for GMAC to originate loans to Chrysler buyers and dealers, Treasury said today in a statement. The remaining $3.5 billion will help Detroit-based GMAC “address its capital needs.” Treasury said it expects to hold a 35.4 percent common equity interest in the company.

More Proof China Wants to Sink the Dollar…This Time in Brazil

Last week, we heard about how China had passed the U.S. as the number one trade partner of Brazil. Now, I'm hearing about how Brazil and China are in discussions to form a currency swap line, just like the one China signed with Argentina two weeks ago.
These currency swap lines are HUGE folks. A swap-line allows the two parties conducting trade with one another to eliminate the use of dollars, and only use their own respective currencies.
That means, China reduces its exposure to the dollars! And if China has less dollars to spend on U.S. Treasuries, that's not a good thing! But, almost as important as that, is how China is spreading the use of their currency. Add that to their statements last month about a new reserve currency, and we could have a serious problem.
