Still running..testing just on london session atm, will include asian as well from tomo..good for 60+ pips..and trailing..Lovely!

update: closed with more than 80 pips in profit..i am wondering where the second trade come from? I think it only took pattern trade as shown in earlier?
Anyhow pips banked both live and demo.

I prefer M15 / M30 t/f which is what I'm playing with at the moment - but happy to contribute where ever required,

Hello Karun,
I can help too in testing the EA. Just tell me what you need me to do as I am still very new to THV system. I got an extra PC which I can let it run for 24/7.

Might help as well. I use FXCM UK broker and dedicated puter. No special TF / CUR so I'm able to fill some holes if any.

update: wish i had a bit more patience to let it run..came down 20 pips!! Got to have patience with a bot too hmmm

SlowTrixSameDirection is set to "true" so I'm not sure why it took this trade to sell. Any thoughts?

I guess it picked up double bottom..check your set file..you must have pattern trading set to 1 in double bottom.

I'd like to know what is the order of preference: THV based trades or classic patterns? what would be checked first..any thoughts Karun? Coz if classic patterns are on and any of trix or THV settings are contradicting, trade may not go ahead..am I right?

I recieved some PM's for this. I'll compile a list of testers, with pairs / TF's. Once I discuss with Cobra, I'll release it here.

BTW, I would suggest not to use Patterns in lesser TF's. I dont find it reliable in lower TF's I find them reliable in higher TF's like atleast 1H and above.This does not mean they dont work in lower TF I *personally* dont find it reliable, thats all.

hi im testing on eurusd 5 min. but i think the EA really needs an option for entry of a real time fast trix colour change. waiting for candle to end tends to miss a large part of the movment.

The trade mentioned above was an engulfing pattern. At least thats what my EA said, took the same trade. I noticed that almost all pattern trades were losing trades so far, so I just wanted the EA to take trades when four lights of the Histo agree and the trix changes the color. But the EA doesn't take trades, it seems (like several people mentioned before) to only take trades on patterns. If set pattern to zero there are no trades at all.

You are probably right about that, however, so far using the Patterns has been very profitable.

I suppose my question is why the SlowTrixSameDirection was ignored. As someone else asked, is there a hierarchy where certain indicators can cause other requirements to be ignored?

I have tried a basic MTF setup on 5m. I had all 3 winners today.

Here is the setup:

entry = MTF lights, price crossing the cloud by atleast 2 pips and max 5 pips.
SL = 15 pips
TP=10 pips, exit 100% of lots upon TP
lots =2


I missed couple of trades because my MT4 under alpari demo account asks for manual confirmation when EA triggers a trade. It closes the trades without manual confirmation though but not when EA opens new trades. I have unchecked the manual confirmation, so I am wondering how others get around it so EA can automatically place orders without manual intervention. Right now, the orders screen just sits there waiting for me to click on buy/sell and press ok. Is this specific to alpari demo account? Need help.

I have attached the .set file. FF wouldn't allow to upload it as .set or .rar file. So please rename 5min_mtf_basic.pdf to 5min_mtf_basic.set.

Go to Tools->Options-> Expert Advisors Tab, it should like below screen shot.
