Virus Alert!!

Can we get more info about the hacking incident... Is it really hacker? I saw my Firefox was connecting to Google Analytics; which killed the Internet; before your server went down... Were you installing Google analytics? If yes, it may not be a hacking attempt... Symantec or AVG did not detect anything other than some tracking cookies... Could you provide more details, so that users can search and remove the specific Trojan Horse virus files? Thanks...

Can someone answer this please? I sent a message via the "contact us" link as per the announcement and still have not heard anything.

I've been trying to figure out what was going on all afternoon and after finally logging in I find that I may have a trojan horse. I understand this is no fault of Forex Factory's, but if you have information that can fix the problem, I wish someone could be a little more quick to provide the medicine.

Norton is quitting (more like disappearing) the scan just a few minutes into it every time I run it and will not startup again without a restart of my computer. It takes forever and countless hits of the refresh button to get any webpage to load so searching is out of the question and I have no idea what to do from here.

Please help us as soon as you can.

Download Avast free and scan your PC. Remove Norton if possible. I got 8 viruses in too. I had to uninstall Internet explorer and re-intall again

Same same. NOD32 identifies a variant of win32/TrojanDownloader.Ani.Gen when every page is opened.

EVerytime I click on any part of FF, I receive a Virus attaack..anyone facing the same problem?

Site was attacked by a hacker less than 24 hours ago. It is suggested that everyone check their systems for problems.

I'm having the same problem - I don't know what google-analytics is downloading to my pc but it completely locks it up while it is doing it.

I have run virus software and found nothing - any idea what we should be looking for.

Yeah, my firefox just crashes and IE7 wants to install the ActiveX thingy.

In other words if this website offers you to install anything, don't accept it and you should be fine until the matter is resolved. Keep your operating system and antivirus updated at all times.

My Firefox is slowing. My main problem is the amount of memory Firefox is using to open pages on the web site. Generally Firefox uses 20 - 40 mega bytes to open several tabs. Currently it is taking over 400 mega bytes to view one Forex Factory page. I don't allow Active X and I don't show any viruses on my end. Memory usage drops as soon as I leave Forex Factory.

It continues being there. My firewall rejected it some minutes ago.

Using the noscript addon here, it auto-blocks any new scripts on a site unless you explicitly allow them to execute. Am picking up (and blocking) a new script from 69.50.190.135. No problems with slowing down, etc. ForexFactory and google-analytics are allowed as usual. I strongly recommend using firefox w/noscript for any browsing you do on a machine containing business and/or account information.
