I am going live in less than a week, need help choosing a platform.

Well i am going live in less than a week, and i need some help with my choosing of platforms. The one i have in mind is interbank FX, i have researched it and find it to look pretty good, if there is anyone here that has an opinion about this, or has any dealings with this broker, please let me know.

LOL, first you demo with your new trading platform until you are comfortable with it and then go live.

i have used the metatrader platform for thr last year and a half, I'm not that green (lol). I was just wondering if anyone has had any dealings with interbank FX.That way i have other people's opinions rather than just a website( Witch always beef up there product or service). But that would have been real good advice piccolo, if i had never used it before.

One thing I don't like Java-based platforms are because there is always a lot of web-related problems. Windows-based platforms are much more stable by comparison. But unfortunately, most brokers offer a Java one if I'm not mistaken.

Take my recommendation. Try FX Solutions @ www.fxsol.com. Not the best but quite outstanding. Before you open account, familiarize yourself with their demo version.

I've been with Interbank for about a year, nvm had any major problems. Of course I don't trade around news time, so that could be why.

Well once every few months they have some connection glitch that can last a few hours...but as long as you have a solid system you'll be fine.

Thanks aicccia, i have read good things about them, but i like to hear from people that really use them. That makes me feel better. and i know that all platform have there troubles at times, your gonna have that. but as long it is a good solid platform, i think it is ok, like u said just stick to your system.

I am live with InterbankFX as my MT4 broker. Spreads increase during news or volatility and sometimes they slip you 1 pip even in the middle of the night but otherwise they seem fine.

I agree. I use IBFX live too. No major problems so far.

Thank you KudzuFX, after alot of searching, i do believe that ibfx, is the broker i am going with.

can't offer critique of the others since I haven't used them. I use RFXT.com (royal forex trading) and have no complaints about them and their customer service is pretty good. They have a pretty good demo too, I started with their demo before I opened an account and I would recommend playing with the different demos before choosing.

You can try NorthFinance , they use MT4 but doesn't increase spreads like IBFX.

COMPLETELY FREE:

MetaTrader 4 for historic data.

NINJATRADER 6 (with Gain Capital) = free and pretty much #1 in order technology (to my knowledge)

Just make sure to put orders as GTC instead of Day - this caused me some trouble at the start, haha.

some broker good at execution, some have good spread, some have good swap, good news service, ect, if you know your trading style, then you can choose the broker you like...

i choose ibfx too, for swap and micro lot sake.
