No Brainer Trades

I was more refering to the banks' lights that were almost out - you started a great thread and deserve some R&R away from posting (and maybe monitor to see if it was worth your effort to start the beast in the first place! Clearly it was - I was late to catch on to this, but am an avid follower already.

I've always had a problem with staying on course - I've traded great longer timeframe (4H) methods very successfully, but then get bored and mess it up by forcing activity.

This time round, I use 3 accounts, a "big" one for the REAL No Brainers (the partytime ones) that present themselves seldomly, and two "small" accounts that I now trade EUR/USD and GBP/USD on 15 minute charts using your same principles. (Risk 30 to make 50/60)

This way I get the activity (at least a trade / day) without diluting the power of the 1H setups.

It is amazing to see the levels repeat themselves on the 15 min charts (especially the 1H levels in tandem with 15 min)

Our strategy as all about waiting until you see that perfect, most obvious sign staring you in the face to take action. Today I want to do a little post trade analysis to talk about a setup that happened on cable (GBP/USD) last night.

For anyone looking for more info in regards to safe entries on breakouts, this is a good example.


1.5241 was hit earlier in the day. It was a support area turned resistance. We saw a fade upward into the 1.5330 area, and a major selloff began at approximately 5:00am, EST following the release of the Bank of England inflation report.


Here’s what I was looking at: an hourly bar crashing into a support level hard and fast, essentially wiping out an entire range of consolidation. What took hours to build up took 1 hour to wipe out and it headed right back down to the bottom of the range. When this happens, don’t expect the level to hold, especially with that kind of range (100 pips appx) and on a pair notorious for excited market runs. I’ve said in one of my videos , when you see selling like that going on, just go for it. You’ve got a huge shot of being right. This one was a perfect example.

We scroll down to the 1 min chart. There was an initial fade off of this area after all of this selling (I begin to get excited) for about 25 pips, and then a thrust downwards, hard and fast. There’s your cue to get in short and ride this thing out for a little while. A sell stop right below the level would have even done it.

Most importantly, be on your toes and execute when the time comes. Money doesn’t pop into your account by you staring at charts.

You shouldn't be worried about something like this going against you too much, mainly because the next support level wasn’t for another 40 pips lower at 1.5200, which it managed to take out in a matter of minutes.

In terms of taking profits, you could have easily done so at the bottom of the channel which was made on the 1 or 4 hour chart, or rode it further expecting a more dynamic breakout. Usually, on that kind of selling, trendlines are likely to be broken.


Bottom line: Excited market, strength out of control and an hourly bar that takes out an entire consolidation range, get in short and ride that puppy for the next few bars or more.

UPDATE : 1st TP 5925 would have given you around 50 pips - shame I was unsure about this one at the time and didn't take it.

It is a nice level, I also have it noted. Yet when the level was approached, the m5 and m1 candles looked quite scary (sudden selloff), so I didn't pull the trigger.

This was quite a good one but I didn't see that massive support at 0.5860 and was selling when it broke down at 0.5884 just looking at the 15min. Luckily I checked higher timeframe and saw that spike on 5th May and closed it promptly..

Always check higher timeframes and don't forget to scroll back a bit in time!

Guys, what should I do psychologically to hang on.
I am using BRV method and it is a real deal, i have not seen anything close to it.
I practically pick tops and bottoms but then close trades for measly few pips.
Seems I cannot see if price already went few pips in my direction if it only tries to move against me I close right away.
I guess it is psychological problem. How did you fight it and succeeded?

PRT is a small s/r tool unique to my charting package but don't think you are missing out WE are way more accurate so it is just another confirmation that is nice to have agreeing with you
