going to take a week r so before i get back into the swing of things, i have taken a long break and now need to brush up on my charting and get my head back into it.

anyone took this long you are up a couple pips, im not sure where we are going actually so close em or move stops up. i will have another entry tomorrow if something doesnt happen here within the next 1hr

personally ive already made 200+pips this week so im leaving my stop in and let it ride.

Hello everyone,

Just thought I'd make a post since it was a quiet day in Cool Runnings today. A consolidation formed, but wasn't a clear squeeze, which I'd rather see. (Like the one setting up on the EURUSD 1H right now. Which looks like it wants to break to the downside.) Here's a chart of what I saw. Price action was choppy and not real definate, as I saw it. The break of consolidation was short live. I layed off because I was thinking it would take a bounce off the pivot or the top of the range. I almost took a buy when it broke the range, but price action made me doubt the move would sustain itself, and it didn't. Would have been a nice scalp, but I was looking for an intraday trade, I don't scalp too often.

The candles closed and opened near the top of the range, and made a nice fall, but I will admit, I did not anticipate that large of a fall, so again, I laid off. Was a wierd day for me. Better not to trade, than to take a trade you're not confident about. I only like to make trades I'm confident in. Never trade just because you have a hunch. If you want to do that, you can come here to Nevada and visit me, and I'll take you to the casino. You can play your hunches there.

Anyhow, I hope everyone is making money, or in the least, holding steady.

(EurUsd is making a break down. Is at the bottom of the range right now, watch for a break lower for a move. Check News calendar for today and make sure there won't be any conflicts.)

Nice spike off the report released this hour. That's why I mentioned that you need to check the news calendar before you place any technical trades. Almost 200 pips so far.

Nothing setting up as I would like to see it on the GBPJPY. Signs still point to Dollar and Yen strength. Starting to range tightly, but only for th past 4 hours. EUR and Cable are have broken condsolidation. I took a small short on the Cable. Would be happy to clear with 30 pips. I'll keep my eye on the PA.

I took a short at 1.5128. The psych support level of 1.51 needs to break down, to carry any further. If it keeps waivering above the 1.51, which it's doing, I'll move my stop to B/E, from 1.5178.

I'm keeping my eye on the EURUSD because the Cable is mirroring it's PA right now. It moves on the Euro, before the Cable moves. Watching the 1H as I usually do.

For those of you who like the charts, I thought I'd post the consolidation and break, and you can see where I took the sell. Looks like it will probably close at B/E. Had the opportunity to take 20+ pips a couple times as it dipped to 1.51. Lesson: Not taking the pips when you can get them, while being greedy and holding out for more can be costly. Rather than making 20% on my trade, I just stopped out at B/E for ZERO.
