EU 15m

Seems really rangebound.. PA is snaking around the coral... looks indecisive on recent bars... No clear signs...just very murky. Merely my view from the sidelines. Of course I'm always open to alternate interpretations of what is on the charts!

And for me..no THV signals..most importantly.

You're right, no signals yet. The hours spent meandering in this range may be used to reverse large positions creating a lot less pressure on the price to move against those reversing their positions. However, we know that a protracted sideways movement, especially in a narrow range, inevitably leads to a magnificent breakout.

Hi Traderathome,

The mtf indies call a special version of the trix (which has alerts and labels turned off insofar as possible.) Because the trix has so many external input params, I found it impossible to call it using iCustom other than with the defaults. I wasn't able, for example, to call it and allow you to change the number of bars it used, because the entire iCustom call was rejected whenever I didn't use the defaults. The default is 750 bars for that version, like in the regular trix. Changing the input bars on the regular trix will not affect the mtf indies at all.

Hi BeachBum,

From what I've read, none of the existing simulators work on any of the mtf indies (thv or otherwise.) There is someone working on coding one that does, but I don't know its status.

Thank you, MissPips. In the coder's forum, I posted an item on the Wish List directly related to the trix and MTF trix histo. When you have time, please look at it and see if there is any possibility. Again, thank you.

This train simply doesn't stop. Simple TL analysis works very well though I don't understand why (EU is staggering and I don't watch UJ at all). Hope you guys have it on your pocket.

EU: PA now testing underside of trend line. A break down thru whole number could spell the start of a down trend of substantial pips.

EU: I'm thinking it breaks down thru the whole number to mR1, consolidates between there and the whole number, and then breaks down thru mR1 for a good 50+ pip run to the central Pivot = 1.3533.

Guys, this is a wonderful system you all have built. I have been doing some scalping on 5 min chart and it seems to work as my main focus is on the 1 hr chart and I know where the price is heading, generally, not always - .

Although I much prefer to work on 1 hr chart but I don't mind scalping as sometimes one gets bored to death. I was wondering if you could please let me know settings for Trix Histro 1 hr chart (if there are any you use) and any rules you guys follow in general?

Hi AMS. I trade on THV H1 and M30. For H1, I enter when H1F and H1C(cloud) close on the same color. I exit, generally, when M30F(ast) or H1F change color.

I am still experimenting with M30, but I try to get a close with M30F, M30S, H1F and M30C same color. Then exit when M30F changes color.

Ed...

Because you like larger TFs (like myself), take a look at H4 for initial trade direction with fast TRIX; then drop to M15 for fine tuning the entries and exits. I did this last week on GBP/USD with excellent results.

I want an alert when the slow and fast trix turn the same color. Is there a way to set this up? I would like a pop-up, email, phone call, something to let me know that both are moving the same direction.

Ed...

I like the fact that the GBP/USD has a greater Daily ATR than EUR/USD without a lot of crazy price spikes or wild moves like the GBP/JPY. And if you like slow, steady and predictable; take a look at AUD/JPY (been very good to me for years!).

Updated chart. #1 Entry @ 134.08 SL @ BE Now and #2 Entry @ 132.800 SL @ BE Now, currently the PA is in the area of 132.3x, it has to break below 132.2x for a continuing down ward journey.

Entry criteria Trade #1:-
PA was struggling to break clearly above 134.5x which also is a considerable S/R area.Add divergence to this, it looked like a very good potential trade and I did not look at any other crietria.

Entry criteria Trade #2:-
The second entry was a pending order when the PA was around 132.5x area, where I expected it to bouce to 132.8x area before going down and it barely touched 132.8x to trigger my order.

The million dollor question is whether this is the start of downward movement or a pullback of this upward trend . Considering that there is a divergence on 4h at a critical point I would say it is the start of down ward movement, but as usual do your own analysis.
