This is how they do it: they get 100 people who don't smoke pot and 100 people who do and check their performance in the stock market.

Turns out, 1 no-smoking and 2 smoking guys make a buck and they come up with the headline: "Smoking pot doubles your trading skills".

Franchise-sized BS.

May 4 (Bloomberg) -- Brazilian equities are attracting the most international investment in a year as speculation that Latin America’s largest economy will rebound prompts fund managers to overlook the priciest valuations since 2003.
Foreign investors bought 3.1 billion reais ($1.5 billion) more in stocks than they sold last month, the largest monthly net inflow since April 2008, according to data compiled by the Sao Paulo-based exchange BM&FBovespa SA through April 28. The bourse is scheduled to post the full-month figures tomorrow.

Trichet cut rates to 1%, almost unnoticed...

I remember those days rates were at 4.5%, Trichet kept talking about inflation concerns and "prrrice estabilitiiii". I wonder if he look at them as "the good ol' days"

Stress test:

Bank of America needs to close a nearly $35 billion capital gap. Wells Fargo needs $15 billion while Citigroup probably will require about $5 billion. JPMorgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, American Express, Regions Financial and Bank of New York Mellon will need none, wire service reports indicated.

The dolphins seem fine to me. They are making mopeds really strong these days. I expect bank share prices to go up after today. Maybe the Dow will go to over 10,000 by the end of the year.

In the middle of a recession/depression, as airlines report losses which are staggering even by airline standards, two entrepreneurs are starting air service with a unique twist: no humans allowed, only pets. Pet Airways plans to launch in July, serving six major hubs from New York to Los Angeles, allowing people to fly their pets across the country without putting them in the cargo compartment of a passenger jet.

The airline was started by Dan Wiesel and Alysa Binder after they got tired of being forced to fly their Jack Russell Terrier, Zoe, with their luggage. "On Pet Airways, your pets aren't packages, they're 'pawsengers.'"
