Is it just a coincidence these stress tests have been rescheduled to around the same time as the ECB meeting? Probably nothing,,,,,,,

Has anyone picked up any patterns in those 19 bank stocks on the hook? Obviously GS feels itself in good position. If the banks have the info, I suspect the market has it too by now.

Agreed. I have not studied the patterns of those troubled banks. Although, I'm sure the "Oracle of Omaha" knows Goldman Sachs' current position, whether good or bad. I still think the numbers being released (whenever they get released) will be inflated.

Question: If the released news is negative, will this act as prior negative news by strengthening the U.S. dollar, OR will negative news begin its toll on the U.S. dollar strength by weakening it?

Question of the day, indeed! - risk aversion should mean repeated flows into the dollar and the yen, as we've gotten used to. Major players, however, should be positioned already. Jacko is closer than Warren to this thread! I'd like to hear his thoughts and, more importantly, the underlying rationale.

I would hope that the USD will continue on its recent path of relatively "normal" behaviour against what we saw in the last 4 - 5 months where it appeared that not even an asteroid flattening washington would weaken it...

I am no expert here, but this is how I see the 4H trend using roughly 300 bars. It seems down to me. Price is struggling with the triangle it's in right now, but IMO the downtrend is in tact on the 4H. I think sustained price action above the 1.3400 area would place the 4H in a range if not the start of an uptrend....

That's both good and bad for us. FWIW, I have noticed less recent pervasive flux on EUR/JPY with regard to rumors about the US automakers. I found those fluctuations quite annoying, but again, perception is reality for us to make money.

true...but after the roller coaster I'll gladly take a less frequent and smaller albeit stronger move (ie that reaches the expected level) so that I can increase my sizing with a relative degree of safety...with all the if ands and stuff the term safety entails in this business...

Hey guys nothing to do today but analysis. Hope I am not clogging up the thread but i thought this stuff was interesting......some of this isnt tried and true jacko analysis either so newbs do not pay attention,,,,,,,,hehe

we got a triangle formed on the 4h,,,,,,,,the bias is down in a downtrend,,,but the lower TL has been tested more on 4h,,and not penetrating the 21ema,,,good s/r level.......

Higher high and higher low on the weekly indicating strong chance to break upper trendline,and price closed above 5ema and 21ema good case for further upside,,,,,also in a triangle,,,,,

2 near dojis on the monthly indicating indecision, also closing above 5 ema looking to pullback to 21ema as price often does,,,,Bias being to the down side I know, but also in a triangle,,,,,

It would seem where we go from here is going to break strong trendlines in either direction all starting with the 4h scenario, we are at an incredible crossroads here,,,,,,,

Good question, I think everything depends on fact no coincidence ,Looks like we need more stress here

I am not a member of Jacko's group yet but I am planning to become one soon. I have been in e-mail contact with him and asked him some questions to which he has replied quickly and honestly.

I see that Jacko uses a 100 pip TSL. I see many of you have your own way of managing the SL, I was wondering are there people in here who trade it exactly the way Jacko does (100 TSL)?

For those of you having your own way of managing the SL, have you experienced any significant gains compared to Jacko's 100 pip TSL?

Also what is the AH (Anti-Hedging) strategy you guys are talking about?

I am a volume trader I use VSA .

There is very high volume on Goldman after an uptrust , this seems to be the 1st sign of distribution . I bought a little FAZ when i saw this.

It all smells to me , will be watching carefully next week , not sure what effect this will have on the market , but typically if indexes go down USD gets stronger.
