You're probably right bundy, I'm lacking sleep too, and an A grade PB will show itself like a sore thumb, after looking to the left, I agree with you, I'll let this one pass (finally).

Now... since I've made a dumb statement on my facebook to show a ripped muscle in october, I better start hitting the weights.

but worth it..

I have read the first 1400 posts with only about 26000 to go.....it is very helpful stuff. I am just sticking my nose in here to ask if the pf is still running and healthy and affordable...before I jump back into the thread?

I have been demoing for around 6 months and will be funding an account this week..scary!

is there any sense that the pa approach has lost any of its effectiveness/accuracy since late 06 (thats where I am up to in the thread) to now?

I believe that it was easier to get away with bad setups back then, but if you stick to picking only the best trades now, this way of trading is still extremely effective and accurate. It's very important to not over trade.

I'm sure you'll hear from others, but I can tell you that PA is alive and well, and the PF is going strong. At least as recently as December, when I was last subscribed to it.

Morning,

My 2nd target on eur/jpy got hit now things are starting to get a bit messy up there and this is also a huge point on the weekly chart. my thoughts are if anything holds and closes above this level then the skys the limit.

I'm in demo mode - and boy am I paralyzed! I keep seeing trades, PBs, etc that just don't look "good enough" to me. E.g. I'd passed on the AUDUSD pin, came to the forum and read how some of you were interested in it, went back to my charts and rejected it all over again!

Is this how it's meant to be? Thankfully I got in on the CADUSD before my paralysis hit, so I'm good there (+400pips!) but the rest...

I'm thinking of going long USDCHF and short EURUSD once the daily pins break; they're not ideal but they're in with the long-term trend which makes it a bit better for my trading style...

What do you guys think? Have you been here before, where the trades just don't seem good enough? I haven't taken a single trade this week! Well, I'd have gotten in on the GBPUSD but was out...



By the way, does anyone combine PA with other things e.g. COT report, DeMark lines, etc?

Yes, that's how is should be. Take the good ones. Leave the bad ones for the other 95 percent. Rest easy, and don't be greedy, aka, slaughtered. If you miss one, refine a bit but don't worry; you will miss others.

Indeed, it means that USDJPY has climed from 95 to 96.....to 98 and broached 99. My fundamental view sees it at 120 over the very long term.

Indeed, it also means that I am talking my own book ...beware!

How many pips do we need to place a sell stop under 7230, it seems this level is very critical recently and in the past. I am afraid of false break out and go back up. What is a better way to manage to lower the risk?

Is it place a sell stop around 10 pips or 15 pips below will work out?

I don't know how many pips "we need" to place a sell stop but I like to place it low enough to catch the break, especailly if its hard and steady. On the daily, 10 to 15 pips is a good amount.

The reason (for me) to why I place a buffer entry above/below a given setup is to add another confirmation that the setup is correct. The others being the location and accompanying confluences.

If all these are being met, then a hard break is the next confirmation. To prove that its a hard break is for Price to trigger our lower entry.

Does that make sense? or should I say, am I making sense?
