DislikedHi Viking
After MUCH reading and very little posting I feel like I have AT LAST found a method I can relate to! I have always been attracted by the simplicity of crossovers but they always get killed during ranging.
Your method using Laguerre seems to filter out the bad times really well. I am a disciple!!
Thanks

DislikedHi Viking, this is my first post on your thread. I luv your method as igt is nice and easy with not too many lines on the chart.
Is there a valid short on the GBP/USD if it breaks through the current resistence at around the 1.4500 level.
Thanks againIgnored

Like a previous member, the only problem I am having with the system is that the FAMA indy won't update as the new bars arrive. It is not a huge problem as I just click on a different timeframe then click back to the H1. Then it updates OK.
But if we wanted to automate this in the future it might be a problem. Could a kind wizard please look at the FAMA code and see if it can be easily fixed?
Thanks

Ok, so here is my first trade! I am using the EURJPY M15 and went short not too long after the market opened last night. Everything lined up:
EMA(100) heading down
FAMA underneath EMA(100)
EMA(5) underneath FAMA
Laguerre very low
I almost chickened out at the red arrow but it was well below my stop loss so I put my faith in Viking and stayed in. As of writing I am +115 pips!
When I was a real newbie I loved the look of MA crosses because they were simple and (with hindsight) worked so well IN A TREND. But in ranging markets...Ignored
