If you set up your EA with TrendAnalysis at true and TrendLine_watch at false, The EA will trade in the direction that we want irregardless of the trend line. So it is where you put your trend line that will make the difference. The trend line in your picture will do exactly what you have described. Trade above and stop trading if price action go below. If your place your trend line above the price action and you think that the market will go down, The EA will trade according to your setup up to...Ignored

DislikedHi. I have firebird on demo at present and its doing ok. Couple of questions I wanted to ask you:
1. What are you using at present to determine the long term trend? Have you changed from using HAS & Signal Arrows?
2. At present, I have a series of messages coming up saying "excessive loss" Now the loss really ain't that much at all but there must be some tight setting I have in the EA. Can you advise please how I switch this message off?

yes im still using the template on my 1st post, but what we are trying to do now is to minimize drawdown when trend reversal occur by adding a trendline recognition to the ea.
About the alert its in the code and i can do nothing but by disabling alert option might help u.
keep demo so u can get the feel. cheers
