Is this strategy considered to be evergreen strategy that can be used for next 10 to 20 years to come such as pivot points strategy?
Would be recommended for a newbies ?

i have a new idea for this method.... switch your chart to 30m chart.....attach the first post 's indicator to your 30m chart....consider the first candle is highlighted by indicator... in my chart 15:00 (GMT +1)... it should 14:00gmt 's 30m candle (close 14:30 GMT ) ....put 6 pips for offset and then put your buy stop and sell stop orders....fix your profit on : high-low (30m candle)/2 ....(60% profit covers the whole lenght of candle)....
RULES :
1-if this candle's high lower than previews candle's high and this candle's low higher than previews candle's low and there is no difference in their lenght so much you must consider prier candle
2- be aware of pivot points
3- be aware of psych levels such as -00- or -50-
4-consider heavy S&R

i was reading through this post briefly and had a quick question about the strategy.. is there a time constraint you would put on this for the high/low to be broken before you decide the strategy isnt valid for the day?

for example.. would you wait only a maximum of 4-6 bars or are you willing to wait say 10-15 bars for the high/low to break?

I think This System Should Work Any Time Of Day Breakouts Are Allways Good Just Have To Take Profit This Is The Main Issue When To Take It Before Market returns

you don't need draw the box ...it is drown automatically ....just download the first post indicator and set GMTshift with your broker time....

You shouldn't be so rigid in the rules as markets always change and evolve. Currency patterns and price always change, in all currency pairs.

it depends on your broker's offset from GMT time... let me guess....your broker is FiboGroup .... just set GMTshift to 1

AND MYBE WE ARE AT THIS COUNTRY MUST WRITE -1 SHIFT !

you just set GMTshift to 1 and then everything is gone true..... i live in Iran too and my broker is Fibo Group too... i can only say that go to indicator setting and see start and end of breakout ..you should see 14 and 16 that's GMT time ..now our broker has +1 GMT time so set GMTshift to 1

That's a good point. I am going to test this strategy on all three of these pairs. Yesterday (Thursday) I had success on all 3 pairs of +20 pips each. I could have got more pips from all 3 pairs but had my TP set at +20.

On Friday only had success on GBP/USD short trade of +20 pips but other 2 pairs just didn't move as much. Only EUR/USD opened a short trade and I ended up closing it just before markets closed for +8 pips. USD/CHF was ranging and so it didn't move enough to open a trade. Had it not been Friday I wouldn't have closed the EUR/USD. I don't like to leave trades open.

Such a breakout strategy works in any time zone. It's NOT dependent on the New York time zone. Take the time and the pair you are most convenient with!

You are probably right.

I just took another trade this morning on the USD/JPY short for +20 pips. Could have gotten a lot more. But I am happy

I noticed that the AUD/USD would have also been a nice trade of 20+ pips.

I didn't take it though because the range was larger than 50 pips.

This strategy seems to work. So far for me anyway. I like it best because I can set it and forget it. Well almost. Just have to remember to cancel the opposite trade that is not triggerred.

I tried to load your indicator to a chart but apparently the platform shuts itself down. I tried to relaunch the platform but the same occurs. I have to remove your indicator from the indicator folder for the platform to work. I am using mt4. Do you have a mq4 version of your indicator?

You need to get the most updated version of MT4. Older versions are the majority of mt4 crashes.
