I agree. Relationally these two charts are identical. That was my point.

Of course this is fine silly This is also why I suggested posting a chart or two to help people to see what to look for when using the volume you tools you code.

In the lack of "professional" responses, let me tell you that I think you're focusing in the wrong points. Some considerations of my own (pros can come and correct me later):

- Don't pay too much attention to the news itself... it will be reflected on the chart, and that's what matters - just avoid taking trades right before big news events;

- VSA EA... we don't have one, don't think we will, and I believe we're better that way, because this isn't something purely mechanical... we have to correlate what we are seing in a particular moment to the previous background;

- Background... it isn't about fundamental background, but the background in price and volume itself. Are we in a trend? Is this trend losing steam?

Personally, I analyse VSA in M5 for entrance, checking M15 for accordance;
I look at the background in both, but also at higher TF as H1 and H4, especially checking for trends and areas of S/R, then paying attention to the VSA patterns when we reach those areas.

Could not have said it better. This is NOT a mechanical method. No EAs here please!

The Background, the current price, the volume is all you need. But, you need to learn how to read it. No Fundies in the VSA method.

Malcolm, I know you are GJ expert, so here is the question for you.
We have bad us news, and pros are buying into the weakness(very high vol). Confirmation is on next upbar closing near high. Then it goes down on low vol. Looks like a failed trade to me.

thats just thv from the trading systems forum so check there lol. doens't serve any use in vsa. just had that particular template pulled up cause its easier on my eyes, but the better volume indicator is at the bottom.

Hey guys....schwartz requested this so........

I added this external variables:
extern bool displayAlert = true;
extern int wick_size_for_Bull_alert = 10;
extern int wick_size_for_Bear_alert = -10;

I dont think that I need to explain this!
