Daily pivot is calculated on the daily high,low,and close.

My posted trades are all I total up on here. I won't add in unposted winnings or unposted losses.
My account winnings aren't as good as just my posted trade winnings. I have learned in the past week that I should only trade the ones I post.
In the comming weeks I am going to only trade the ones I post because that would have me over 550 pips for 3 weeks.

Based on the posted trade winnings I should be a signal provider right? Mabe one day:googly:

No problem. Thanks for responding at all. I realize that you're busy, and I think that everyone here appreciates your time. What I was wondering specifically was whether you use open/close times for US session from the day before, or do you use the same day's asian session, since it closes before the us session? I don't know if I'm being clear...but if you understand and would care to explain, I would appreciate it. I'm in the same time zone as you if that helps. Thanks again.

I use the USA session. At 5pm(EDT) a new candle pops up on the daily chart. At that time I calculate the new days pivots.

Hey all,

I am very cautious on my market outlook right now cause there is a huge hurricane bearing down on Fla. expected to hit early mon. am. This (should) cause a fall in the USD. But you never know.

I noticed I posted alot of trades last week, more than usual. Although my weeks profits were great I got lucky. That was too much trading. I gotta keep myself to about half those trades.

usd/jpy short

entry 115.87
s/l 116.10....trailing stop at 50
target open

We are at the top of the range here. It still hasn't broken 116.00 yet(115.97 is highest). So I feel like short here is good espesially since the dollar hasn't taken a fall in antisipation of hurricane yet.
I further feel like my s/l is safe from stop hunters cause a break of 116.00 is too significant to be manipulated.

On the chart below you can see the double top. Also notice how the price is confined under the middle trend line. Stochs are over bought and RSI is turning down. Technicaly this is a good trade and fundamentaly is a good trade.

We'll see

moved s/l to 116.40. market is so thin I don't want to chance fxcm snatching my stop I'll pull it manually at 116.10.

It is kinda slow going even for a sun. I wonder if people are waching the weather. I would expect that the big players would rather see a drop befor going long again if thats what there gonna do.

There could be no drop. Could be just consilidation until hurricane clears US soil.
This is a managed trade If I was to set it and leave it I'd set limmit at 20 pips profit.

edit: I just looked at fxcm news and there looking long usd/jpy and also long eur/usd. That contridicts themselves. They do that alot. There trades get stopped alot too. I usually look to them for what not to do. ....lol

1 more mile an hour and wilma becomes a catagory 3.
Last hurricane down graded and usd went up. I am waching to see if usd goes down when wilma turns 3.
Not a move like when oil pumps were threatend but some kind of move.

If I was playing a trade where the dollar would be affected by some disaster, I would be playing the eurusd or usdchf. I don't really see a hurricane in Florida having much affect on the dollar, but if it did, playing the dollaryen doesn't really make too much sense. You have a strong uptrend still intact in the usdjpy. Also the yen tends to be tied to the movement of the Nikkei. Just my opinion.

I went to bed, but had to get up and post one more comment. Looking at your posts, Dave, I feel it's rather selfish and senseless the way you seem to be hoping that this hurricane increases in strenght and hits Florida in the hopes that the dollar will tumble so you can make a few pips. Now I know that your trade has no effect on the storm, but I feel it is useless posting that type of info. on this forum. I'm not a highly religious person or anything but I'm hoping and praying that Wilma fizzles out and heads out to sea. The people in Florida and of course the gulf coast have suffered enough over the past couple of years with all these storms. They certainly don't need another one to cause more hardship and potentially billions of dollars of damage. And I think any civilized American would agree with me on that. And no I don't live in Florida, I live in New England. I've been to Florida on vacation a couple of times and it is a very nice state.

Sorry to have offended you.
I would never "hope" that a hurricane hits any one, but the fact ,its there and they tend to have an affect on the market.
Weather is a fact of life.
I mearly post my observations.
