So far so good. 2500+ pips so far since I started using this system on March 15 (Statement attached) The market has been kind to us I think the last 7 days or so with nice long trends. Well see how it performs in the weeks ahead.

Very nice sergiel, thats resoults we are after...

Based on what, you went short gpb/usd today?? pair is in uptrend, wasn't that a bit risky? I didn't trade, but was more looking for long...

Hey All, yes I am using a Demo Account, here is basically what I am doing.

I am using the v63H04 version with Max orders = 5

I started using TP=100, SL = 300 about half way through, before that TP=50. Everything else is set to default.

I am trading the EurUsd, GbpUsd, and UsdCad all the same way.

Basically I am looking for the trend on the H4 and D1 charts using the THV indicators provided by Samurai.

I would usually prefer waiting for a nice Heikin-ashi candle (without any shadow pointing in the opposite direction) on the D1 chart, as this is a pretty good indication that the trend is heading that way. I will also take a look at the H4 and see what has been going on for the previous 12 hours or so.

As for the GbpUsd Short today, I have been basically using the H4 as my indicator.

Sometimes if the D1 is showing a reversal with a yellow bar and cross configeration HA candle, I will scroll down to the H4 chart and the trend has been heading solidly in the reverse direction for 8 hours or more I will set the EA to trade accordingly. This one is a bit more risky as the D1 chart has not actually confirmed the reversal yet (yellow bar, and doesn't have decisive HA candle) but can be very profitable if the trend continues.

I will probably get burned with this one sooner or later. For example right now I have a sell on the EurUsd that has a 100 pip downdraw. The reversal that began about 12 hours ago has been wavering.

You will see that I closed a couple of my orders at -60 and -30 pips. I did this when it seemed clear that the trend I was following had come to an end based on the fib resistance level being hit, currency being oversold/overpurchased, and price reversing. Decided to cut my losses.

Namrettik was kind enough to suggest using the Fib Pivot indicator which is also a good way to make an educated guess on how far a trend may go before a reversal.

Hope this helps, and hopefully my results are not just a case of good luck so far, lol.

Thanks sergiel.

Am using the original version on FXDD, IBFX and 121Sec., demo/live, on EurUsd, TP 50. "OnlyShort" since yesterday and still have 4 open positions due to the spike upward today. You only have 2 open EurUsd and with 100 TP! Hmm...

I'll look into your version today. More pairs perhaps... RS

Great sergiel, keep up the good work...if you pack pips good enough, you should easly cover the looses that might accour.

''New home sales'' news event kicked price for USD today, without that, 100-150 pips should be gained going short on Eur/Usd...

Hi Guys,
I feel terribly sorry but I spent hours to read all the threads about the firebird EA and could not find anywhere the settings for the "SHORT ONLY' and LONG ONLY" trades. What inputs do I have to change ???
Thanks a lot for your help, as I feel very frustrated....

lol I had the same problem when I first started using.

open the EA properties and go to the Common tab and you will find a pull down menu that allows "long & short", "long only" or "short only" trades.

Cheers

this is a great system. i'm testing it since about 2 weeks and it has produced only winning trades.
as far as the eur/usd is concerned: do you guys are still "long only" in this pair?
the h4 chart seems to be sideways since days, the d1 still going up.

p.s. i will start testing it on a live account and will post the results here.

Nice sergiel fren. Thats exactly what i'm doing, u know this really well now.

Let me give U guys a simple illustration for easy understanding.
Imagine that the EA is your car, and the indicators is a GPS reciever.

U drive the car based on the GPS signal, weather it turns right, left or straight. But sometimes when u find an intersection on the street the GPS is not giving u a clear signal, that makes u feel doubt on taking the right direction. So U stop your car and wait untill the GPS gives u a clear signal again. That will cost u time a bit to reach your destination, but it will save u from wasting lots of time if u take the wrong direction.
This is exactly the same, knowing when to stop for a while is an important thing also.

Regards,
Samurai Power

The behaviour and character of the EA that sergiel using is the same with the EA im using, but sergiel version is more complete than mine, it has Max Order option and Trailling Stop option, the basic principe is not change, I might need it, and maybe lots of viewer here need the fascility also, so now i'm gonna change Sergiel EA into my default EA i'm using, and i'm gonna attach it on the first post.
so prc, u can dowload it there ini a minute..

Apprecite the prompt resonse, Rising Sun. Agreed, there is little difference between the original but this allows me a couple of options I didn't have. In my short term trading, I use Swiss Army for trailing stops and found it to be miles better than the MT4 default.

Currently standing aside while the GBP and EUR decide on direction. My trading partner decided that the trends were set and had his lunch handed to him today (yesterday, now). I reminded him to look back at the daily chart for the EUR last big move up to see that it took 12 days to feel safe with shorting the pair.

Hi Guys,

I have been testing this for exactly one week (5 trading days) and have had fabulous success.

On demo, 54 trades ALL successful.

Starting deposit: $1000
New balance: $3500
Open trades: -$200

Settings:
SL 300
TP 50

Pairs:
EUR/USD
GBP/USD
AUD/USD
USD/CHF
USD/CAD

The only downside is that, at one stage, the drawdown was over $1000... scary stuff. If this had happened near the beginning, it would have wiped me out.

Any suggestions to reduce this risk? Maybe change to version with the max trades option? Maybe trade fewer pairs? On the other hand, often the high number of open trades and number of different pairs tend to even things out, some being negative and others being positive at any one time.

Any comments and advice, Samurai and everybody? I obviously want to go live soon!

I used the daily chart and the H4 and even H1 for confirmation. If in any doubt, I turned off the ea for the "doubtful" pair until the trend became clearer again. Apart from that I did not interfere at all with the trading (no manual closing trades).

All pairs had their ups and down. I haven't had time to analyze the details yet.

Hope this helps.

Good Job! Using more pairs has produced 350% in a few days of trading, that is impressive. Downdraw is always a concern with this system as sometimes it may take a while for the price to move as expected.

Right now (nearing the end of the London session) the EurUsd is dropping like a stone, it is taking alot of dicipline to stay out, lol. There is no clear indication on the H4 or D1 chart. On the bright side I do have an open EU sell order from yesterday so hopefully will make a few pips there.

Keep up the good work all, and post your technique / results so we can all learn from each other. And thanks again Samurai for taking the time to share this great system!
