Congrats Long traders!
I was honestly looking for shorts and done pretty well this morning. Had one more short that was playing that got zapped on this wild spike up.

I'm very interested to hear what Jacko has to say about the Europe vs. USA banking system comparison and what this injection of 1 TRILLION dollars has on the currency market.

PS - I don't think I've heard the word trillion so much in life than the past few months. At this rate the USD will catch Zimbabwe!

Bernie intended to shock and achieved his target.

That said,i think the US might recover way before the UK and Euro-zone in that order.The Japanese may also take the swiss route setting the stage for some lucrative USD/JPY longs..
I'm a novice but looking at the charts there seems to be a bounce off a trend line on the EU weekly.

Any thoughts on a short entry??

Pull back from high not very much so far. May just be catching it's breath before another charge upward.

I think I will stand on the side lines and watch until a move one way or the other is apparent.

This is a test of discipline... I'm trying not to chase this upward movement. I placed a couple of buy limit orders, but they didn't get filled. Consequently, I missed a nice 200 pip run during the european session. I understand that it's better to miss a good trade than to catch a bad one. However, I'm wondering if the pullbacks are going to be minor, as the eurusd skyrockets to 1.4500 within the next week or two

private group members - is anyone left here who joined the blog 1.5 years ago? any feedback? did you blow up/made any money yet?

no feedback needed fro someone who just discovered the thread or a blog, as it widely known they will experience euphoria with a backdrop thought that they found a "holy grail"

I'm in the second group...but let's put it this way...4 traders that I know of from the first group have become professional meaning they are now working for major banks/funds.

Jacko can eventually confirm the number if he feels it warrants his time.

Wayne is NOT A SIGNAL SERVICE....he...like others here...strives to teach others how to trade according to his style - whether or not one follows his footsteps in the live trades (using 200 standard lots) he posts is a purely PERSONAL decison.

and one last thing...the holy grail you mention....is between our ears....but with this thread having over 1,100,000 views and still counting...there must be some merit to what is in it....imho at least...

I am a member of Jacko's first group. I can say with confidence that Jacko has made a big difference in my trading. I used to think that I had to trade all the time to make money. Now I just look for good or great setups. I can go a week or more just sitting on my hands watching, waiting to take a high probability trade. I admit that I had a rough ride down from 1.600 but that was due to position sizing relative to my account size. However, since I joined Jacko in Sept- Oct 2007 I am up close to 100% in my account. I do not use Jacko as a signal service. In fact, I pass on many trades that he takes. I need to be more picky than him. I am learning from him every day.

I am sure that if I had not taken the opportunity to join his small group of committed traders I would have blown my account before '07 ended.

Hi Archer,

thanks for the insights about the trading group, and I wish you much continued success. You mentioned that you look for good or great setups, and will pass on many trades that Jacko would take. If you don't mind, can you give an example (real or hypothetical) of what you would consider a "good" or "great" setup? For example, do you wait for a particular/rare divergence or candle pattern?

I don't see the relevance of all this talk about specific account performances or why/how a member landed a job at a bank.
Jackos method emphasizes cutting your losses and letting profits run and that equals money in the bank.

I think we should spend more time on meaningful debates like pondering on how 6 months of fed buying action will impact the value of the dollar especially if the euro zone does not go the same route.
Such debates in my opinion will be of more use than knowing the balance on someones account..
