Many thanks for the detailed reply. Exactly the way I try to do it.
Most small traders in the UK trade through spread betting companies mainly because it is not taxed, I don't know if you can? It looks like your spreads are exactly the same as mine G/U 2pips, G/J 8pip(!) etc.
Good trade on the GBPJPY today or was it (partly) lucky? I'll leave that pair to you; 8pip spread and 25 pip SL - no thanks! I am using the Philip method fairly closely but I like to see at least 0.2 slope on the 50MA too. It's also good to see the other 2MAs parallel to it or diverging. eg USDCHF today at 13:05GMT- but no signal unfortunately.
I play golf too. I am sure you can make birdies happen but you can't make the EUR or GBP move the way you want!. I live 20 miles from St Andrews - I
don't play there but it's great for watching tournaments.

Obviously you can change this setting.
There are also other setting.
In the zip file attached you find 3 file:
the EA
SMA Angle (this is the classic indicator)
MA of SMA angle (this one is the 21 ema on the 50 sma angle)
Put the 2 indicator on the same window.
I repeat that I did not program it and I do not use it as an EA.
I hope that sharing it we can improve it and manage to filter the bad trades.

DislikedHi everyone,
I've been testing this EA since the middle of this week. I didn't develope it personally but a paid professional programmer made it under my instruction.
First of all i want to say that i do not use it as an EA, but as an indicator.
When i attach it to the chart I set it to ask manual confirmation to enter a trade; so it gives me an alert whenever a signal come. It gives signal for all the good trades but also for some bad trades, that’s why I use it as an indicator
It will give a signal when the following condition are met
- 21 sma on the angle or above (below) 0.1 point (-0.1 point)
- 50 ema angle greater (smaller) than 0.22 (-0.22)
- Distance between two ema bigger than X pip.
- Price retrace between the 2 ema for X pip.
Obviously you can change this setting.
There are also other setting.
- take partial profit at x pip and close x lots
- martingale option (double the lot after x pip loss) Do Not use this option!!
- Trade only at specific Hour
- Max trade per hour

DislikedOkay, I have your indicators all set up along with your template.
The question is now about the 5ema indicator, what exactly does it look like, nothing shows up on the charts, but there is a happy smily face on the top right of my charts.
Can you let me know about this, also when I applied it to the charts it asked about "allow live trading", I pressed yes, this is when the smily face came up.
If you don't press allow live trading, it will put a frown face on the chart.

DislikedHi fxque
I think what Phillip is refering to when talking about .2 & .23 on the mp3 is the horizontal line that you need to drawn/insert (manually) on the SMAangle indicator. It doesn't mean you are changing the setting of the indicator. My indicator's settings are still the same
I do have my red lines set as close as possible to 0.1 AND 0.2 as possible. See post#505 on page 34 for an explanation of my rules (summary of Phillip's system).
Attached an examples of my set-up and my 4th trade using this system (4 profit trades in a row). The fist with the thumb was my entry and exit 10 pips later.
Hope it helps.

Golfer,
On post #521, you took a long trade but your 21 ema had not crossed above the 10 degree line on the sma angle indicator. Am I reading this correctly? If this is the case, did you just have a good feeling about that particular trade set up?
Thanks
Lloyd
