I don't use MT4 to trade. I use it only for charting and have another platform for trades.

Grabbing in realtime will steal me a trade, I need to work a lot to find the right setup and once I find it I take the trade and can't grab at the same time.

I will make some videos but on the weekend on the simulator, that way I don't miss a trade and with that $$$.

There is a great free site with a huge ammount of video trading explanations and the system is some kind of similar to the THV, I traded the free version before I developed THV.

We had some hours ago an iceberg order, what that means discribed doblece on the 15th of oct. 2008 in the EUR/USD thread:

Iceberg Order
A large single order that has been divided into smaller lots, usually by the use of an automated program, for the purpose of hiding the actual order quantity. When large participants, such as institutional investors, need to buy and sell large amounts of securities for their portfolios, they can divide their large orders into smaller parts so that the public sees only a small portion of the order at a time--just as the 'tip of the iceberg' is the only visible portion of a huge mass of ice. By hiding its large size, the iceberg order reduces the price movements caused by substantial changes in a stock's supply and demand.

In other words, someone absorbs all sell orders (in this case) in small portions awaiting that the price rises.

It was one of the reasons that I was riding all the London session a long trade with TP 50% on R2 (previous high) and 50% on R3

I try load analisis template and can't do it because do not have some old indi like Cheeta xpMA , can somebody share this indi or just please say can I use LWMA(60) or coral , which I think will show the same ?

But how do we identify it? When the price keeps going up in small steps with out a lot of movement?

Cheeta xpma is a LWMA60 but colored like the coral.

I found that the usual MA is better because the xpma colors sometimes let you psychologically be out of good trades

When trading stocks you can track institional buying with a volume indicator that flags say 20,000+ shares, along with the trick and trin, but how would you track if it's and Iceburg order? Very interesting post.

I think they go up a bit, then down a bit, and you can "feel" the building up because the tick move is different than a simply undecided market, or a weak market. Pushes towards the direction are strong but they keep coming back to the same point (see the series of small dojis and candles at the end of the screen shot).

Since we are talking about trading, I think today's article from Yahoo is relevant:

When dealing with money, there are lots of emotions involved. Emotions are part of everyday life. What separates the successful traders from others is how they react to their emotions.

So what can you do to become a more consistent trader and increase your profitability?

1. Think of trading as a business and have a trading plan.

2. Make sure that the strategies you select, match your personality so you can follow them.

3. Have a realistic expectation of what your returns are. Include all the costs associated with your trading business.

4. Have an idea for your risk/reward ratio. Don't confuse trading with gambling. If you are increasing your position, make sure that your strategy warrants it.

5. Have trading rules and follow them. Think about them as contingency plans. Because when your emotions are very high, the tendency is that you make very poor decisions that can cost you your account!

6. Be flexible to the market conditions. When you see the market as it is, you have a much better chance of managing your portfolio and increasing your profits.

7. Take responsibility for your results. Taking responsibility does not mean that you have control of everything that happens. It means that you have a choice of how to react to the things that happen.

8. Find out why you are in the trading business. If it is for the excitement of it, find other hobbies or activities that you can get your excitement from.

Many thousands of screen hours and research are necessary to detect this kind of phenomena, or let’s say pattern.

There are many others that aren’t very popular and I will post them when they occur.

That's right. You can see on the chart below it has question marks for the TF label.

I entered short at the vertical line. There was a TL break at the same time. You have to enter quick because these trades don't always go far. I took most of the profit quickly and let the rest run down a while, took some more, but then got stopped out (trading EJ) for what I had left. There was a long shortly after that was a nice setup, but I missed it because I was busy managing an EU trade.

The M3 also has excellent divergence indication (thank you Cashmeer ).
