just my 2ps worth on the nz/us,you can see how price has flipped the ppz at the .5000. nice pa.

This PPZ goes all the way back to 1986, then 1998, and again in 2002, so it is a pretty strong zone it would seem. Should see a bounce one would think.

I am bearish on cable for the moment. It looks to me to have broken through the PPZ to the downside and is in a retrace right now. I believe the PA in the box is as close to a bearish piercing line, or dark cloud cover, as we can get in forex and until it is broken I am bearish and looking to short on the break of the dark cloud cover. Bullish on UCAD due to same pattern at PPZ.

hi johnny, i also have the ppz around 141.80,dont intend to look for a long until the break of 142.00. will look for a retrace if that happens.been watching the u/cad 4h ib also,not one ill bee takin though,good luck n

Caught this one a the pullback near the 1.41 level. +50 and looking good stop to BE.

Thought this might be of help to some of you. I use it to help me recognise patterns that i might not have seen and give me an overall picture of what might be happening.

IBFX has a pattern recognition tool. http://www.ibfx.com/Tools/PRS/Default.aspx

I only have a demo account so i don't have the full functionality - but interesting none-the-less.


Realistically there is no substitute for learning to see these for yourself, however i think everyone needs a helping hand or guide in the beginning to see the possibilities.

Rethinking this - I don't want this to be a distraction to the PA that Jim has taught us all, but rather add to it.

Here's an example of what i mean. This AUDUSD trade - i was expecting price to get back to the 655 ppz and couldn't initially see why it didn't make it.
However it would seem that price is in this falling wedge pattern, and in fact we got a pin bar (not the best) off the top of this channel. Doesn't mean at this stage i would play these necessarily, but it is interesting to see why price reacted the way it did.
Further to this as it might be a falling wedge we can then wait for price to break north - perhaps a pullback and then some PA to go long.

nice trade mate, i didnt dare buy a pullback untill it broke.got a few pips earlier with a pin on the 1h tf
had my order triggered at 4215, lookin for the same t1 as you have on your chart.Theres bearish div on the 1hour charts so mabye a pull back reversal is comin?? wats your veiw on the trade now??

A trade on the daily has to be treated EXACTLY like a trade on the daily nothing more and nothing else. 1H is insignificant by all means. Since I already have my stop to BE i am not too worried...

The BUOB yesterday closed beyond the ppz with a lot of authority, a pullback thus was almost certain...

Abt the trade...

Got stopped out at Breakeven but renetered at 14140
