Thanks Cobra, glad that someone is making the same mistake as myself. Agree, good money management and an acute sense on price actions would've taken us out with a small loss. Take care.

Yep, when it's flat (horizontal) it's a neutral zone and the market don't know at that moment where to go.

To me, when the slow Trix is showing relative flatness around zero line; while the fast Trix wiggles up and down on it; that is the time to start anticipating for directional change and / or stalking for trades based on trend lines and pattern break outs.

yeah, it was a good trade that ended badly.

I was awaiting all the London session a breakout to the north but best we could get was the 1.263x area.

That's why I only took long trades after touch of MS3.

BTW: I'm not the only one that is long biased, many traders are awaiting that the weekend gap get filled and I still hold a long since 1.2566 with SL under MS3 and will take another long position on 1.251x if it will break MS3. I will hold that long till close of the gap or the weekend if neccesary.

I never see a losing trade as a 'mistake'. It is just that the market in its infinite wisdom does not agree with you at that point in time.

A 'mistake' is when you press the sell instead of the buy button or were looking at a totally different currency pair etc etc etc - all of which I am guilty of

Telling yourself you made a 'mistake' every time a trade goes against you will only depress the hell out you ... IMHO

All the same, in hindsight, disregard of the outcome, I still can say this was a well thought out trade entry. :*)

By the time the professional traders decide it is time to move this out of the range, they will have added a lot to their positions. Long? Short? I'll go with Long for now, and only because the volumes seem to favor the lows. But that is very subjective. In any case, I bet is the range breaking move will be a substantial one.

Yep, losing a trade doesn't make me sad, sometimes I laugh about it because it was well thought but the market wan, losing is part of the business.

For this, I don't have feelings about the wins and losses anymore. it's just one of those things that comes with it in financial trading.

I have trades (each very small) spread out across the range.....long trades. So, now you know which way I feel this will finally break. But, if it goes against me, those very small trades, even all added together, will allow for quite a down move and keep me in for the return ride (but I'm not sure my nerves would survive!).

Lol, we are with the same idea, I'm buying on the dips but go out fast, I hope that way I don't miss the train when it get's in steam.
