Yes it seems he has added them manually. Grid lines can't be edited.
However, you could use this indicator (which originally is meant to signal psychological levels, but can be set to any price value, so you could use 00, 25, 50 and 75 if you want a 25 pip spacing. It has two additional levels should you need more lines or a different grid, and line color and aspect can be customized).

I have DL 2 times and can not drop on chart

Once into my custom indicator folder...not visible there

Once to desktop...copied to indicator folder on MT4..not visible altho can see in MT4 folder

What is the trick...

It works on mine.
File should be under your MT4 > Experts > Indicators folder to work properly.
Make sure it is there, or that you haven't copied it into another instance of MT4 (for example if you are using several MT4 platforms, it can happen).

a friend of mine just sent me some code for an indicator how do I make this into something usable in mt4. I snt a an email asking him but no word yet can I copy and past into the editor?????????

If the code is complete, you can indeed paste it into the editor, save the file to your platform's expert/indicators folder, and compile.

In any case, should you run into coding issues, you can ask on the Programming Discussion sub-Forum where I'm certain you will get the needed help.

I can see it in my MT4 Experts/Indicator folder. There is only the exe..not the metaquotes Icon

But when I start up program ....which I only have 1 version on this computer. It does not appear on the list....


I am not new to MT4..Do I need to compile it thru editor or something.

No Ideas

You can't compile as it is an ex4.
Did you try to look for it from the Navigator window? It should be there.
Maybe you have a great quantity of indicators and thus it appears "greyed out" in the Menu Custom Indicators options, but from the Navigator you can also drag it and drop it on the chart.
