First of all congratulations to Cobra and the THV team, very nice system you've setup here with some good people present.

1.27340 is your level to watch for short confirmation, followed by strong resistance around the 1.27030 - 1.2663 area. Only a break below 1.2663 confirms a continuation of the bearish trend

I left a lot of pips on the table, could you guys help me with my entry and exits and give me your line of thinking and decision making, these trades occured 2/25 on the 5min chart, using 1min chart for entry.

the red entry points i sold short, green bought.

Trade 1:
good looking setup, following the rules, good volume
Sold short @ 1.276
stopped out @ 1.2795

Trade 2:
strong trend, looking to hit pivot
sold short @ 1.2781
stop limit @ pivot to buy 1.2796

Trade 3:
volume extremely high, blew through MS1, looking to hit S1

sold @ 1.2741
bought @ 1.2723 S1 pivot.

My main question is what can help enter/exit this trade, i created a lot of work for myself, should have trusted the entry point and let it go.

What is your thought process? Trying to get better at my entry exit.

I can't tell from your chart but my first impression is that you did not allow enough of a stop-loss.

My analysis chart is showing a daily pivot @ 1.2775, 50.0 fib @ 1.2767.

Actually, that analysis belongs to Shadowfx. I had picked 2740 area based on a fib. Not sure where he got 2734, but he was accurate with it two days in a row.

I work with a combination of tools, pivots, fibs , demark & gann

1.2734 is an important mid gann line , which coincidentally is also the current weekly pivot.

Fight between the bulls & bears is in this area, hence the initial pullback you saw on the drop and the current retrace now,its your KEY level to watch

Haven't been around for a few days...had much to do...

Managed to get these two trades in for about 20 pips...that's all I can do today...

Trade 1.

1.) 1 min break of Trix Trend line
2.) Out at 5 and 15 min test of trendline


Trade 2.

1.) 1 min break of support
2.) 5 min Break of support and Clear Trix cross...also after brearish divergence

Take Profit at 1 min green trix and touch of trix trendline.

Hello, I have been playing with parameters of trix and searching the forum, but still I'm struggling in getting a written message alert from the divergence signal from the trix indicator.

I'd like to have this message only (not interested in crossing or slope change message) and I like it written because it specifies to which pair the divergence is occuring.
Anyone has an opinion?

The 'shakeout' pattern, being a high probability trading pattern; in most instances. will yield for the best entry; giving the traders lots of 'rooms' to maneuver in terms of risk management. The current juncture of the 5-min Gbp/Usd has had given us a bullish 'shakeout' pattern to long on upside trend line break between pivotal 3 & 4. The fact that price actions have failed to clear this consolidated pattern to the upside has given us clues that this time, the 'shakeout' pattern is likely to fail. At the same time, giving ADDITIONAL confirmation that the TRIX's negative divergence signals should be the one in play. I covered my longs with a 7 points profits and short at 1.4358.

Patterns and/or indicators failures are also important information in respect to the resolutions of price actions.

You find how to do it in the properties window of the Trix indicator:
If sound is enabled.........
Set SoundOnDivergence to false.

For anyone who is having alerts sent to your cell phone (TW?), can you tell me which parameter I should set in the Trix indicator? I see one for "msg alerts", and one for "email alerts". Am I correct in assuming that "msg alerts" will go to my cell phone and "email alerts" will go to my e-mail inbox?
