Hi All -
I been checking out lots of things but needed a break for the close issue. Was curious why some trades were being missed, especially with maxmacd. I'm posting the following observation: many of the missed trades I've seen are at the start of the trading window and go on for varying lengths of time, especially with the maxmacd filter. If this is correct, the problem may be with the code where I set all the filters to zero if the trading window is closed (= I didn't want any bugs to trigger trades during times outside the window. It may be that in doing this, the filters are having to recalculate the trend and until they do, the xxtrend = 0, therefore skipping trades that should have been taken.
Junior - that was definitely the case with your EU H1 trades this morning. If you have the multifilter on, you'll notice the trades were skipped until the maxmacd filter changed from -1 to +1, trades were then triggered. In this example, the filter was set to zero in the function which checks for new trades (as a safety feature) while the multifilter was showing -1. In other words the filter was being calculated and displayed correctly (I hope) but the ea is setting the filter to zero when it is outside the trading window and then turning the filters back on at 0600 GMT (if your using the defaults). I need to do more trade/data analyses to see if this is truly the case. Might see if you notice this as well.
sayembara - your trading around the clock I believe. If true, you should not be missing trades, at least for the speculation above. Have you noticed missed trades?
