Anybody watching this?

On this feed the Daily closes at 24h00 and I don't have this pair on MT4 so if anyone has it on a different time zone could you please post it.

Yesterdays high formed a double top and today it broke through 5000 but retraced quickly and looks like it will close below. Also confluence with the 50 fib.

Any thoughts?

Do not hope, get out and take the loss now.

Happened to me just last week, I closed it straight away and took the loss for being such an idiot

It's a no trade for me. Pinbar is too small compared to previous bar and no space to move.

Doesn't mean it won't drop but not one for me.

What do you think of this ChfJpy daily pin? The bar size is smaller than prev bars but it's a swing high with lots of space.

I actually like this better than the nj.
Both are small week looking pins but the locations I like.
The reason i like this better is swiss is looking week & yen looks to be stronger tomorrow. The way the dj & futures finished the day makes me think yen strength.

I am not playing either as is. BUT I will be watching on lower tf's for signs

Just a closer look at nj, chfjpy...

If you short these at the break of the daily bar.. (small blue line)
You dont have far to go till support. Be quick to get to be or set tp..
both are playable but these pairs can move quick so be on your toes.

Can any of the vets explain 2 PB setup, what does it mean????
at a swing low that might catch my attention. But these are pinbars with not great closes as swing highs.

Remember we want to take bullish pinbars at swing lows and bearish pins at swing highs. Yes pins can be played as continuation but until you can play them the way James16 teaches in the beginning I would stick to the former. After you understand the orginal and simple way they are taught you will become more knowledgable to understand when you might be able to get away with different positioning of these bars because of the deeper understanding of price action.

Hey Bakko,

That bar is nothing to get excited about. Sure it might give some pips. But it is so small I would classify it a neutral just another bar. You need to be able to avoid these bars and not get excited to hop into a trade. The good ones will stick out. A good looking bar that jumps out + a good area. Now that is where we want to be at. Price is constantly moving, pausing, moving etc. A lot of times you meet an area that might be potentially strong like you have noted on your chart(remember these are zones), But a pause is often mistaken for a pin to trade(ie neutral bar, or small pin bar). This is not really giving us a "tip off" that our area is validated. Instead when you have an important area and clear PA like a big pinbar, then your confidence to trade it can increase greatly.

Just some thoughts

I have posted on Forex Factory several times in the past year under the name PipsterDufus. But I was a James16 PF member under the name catiron, so I have changed to that name here.

I was a PF member for four months and it totally changed my trading results for the better. I have had double digit (%) gains every month since I first joined in September. Unfortunately, February has been a tough month -- tight ranges, low volatility. I am working hard to stay even for the month.

Since August, the market has had tremendous volatility and large sweeping ranges. I think that I had my fair share trades where mediocre signals were positively rewarded with wins. Not so in February. I have really had to work on my signal selection and seek only the true "A Trades" -- those that strictly meet all of my entry criteria. As a result, I have been on the sidelines for some moves that would have been very profitable had I compromised my rules slightly (for example, entering when the next level of S/R is slightly less than 1:1 risk/reward). I am not suggesting bending my rules -- that will inevitably lead to more losses, but I would like to know how you all deal with the frustration of missed opportunites. I don't think I've experienced greater frustration than staying out of a trade for rational reasons, only to watch it break through a barrier and watch it move to 2:1, 3:1, or greater profit. Any thoughts?

Mike, would you consider the weekly pin for the Euro (last weeks that is) to be one that "stands out" or was that more of a neutral bar? Seems like the location was pretty good.

In my opinion of all the JPY pairs the GBP/JPY has the best looking pin on the daily chart. Would any of you guys agree with me?
