Live. It was a buy stop order at 1.4226, got filled at 1.4273. I don't know how many times it ticked between these two prices but it was a rapid move on news at 0930GMT. I use stop orders to get in the market quicker than market orders, do they receive less priority than other orders by any chance? I trade breakouts like this regularly and don't normally get such bad slippage, although I have on occasion waited over a minute to get an order filled once it has gone red. I have contacted support about it in the past but they said there was nothing doing.

You should have been filled a bit earlier. Here is a 1-tick chart for your trade (from MB live datafeed - blue dots are ask-prints, green are bid-prints):


Edit: hm, the forum apparently doesnt like my 18KB PNG-file for some reason?

Hi shrike,

I like very much your chart. Is the ability to display bid/ask ticks together as parallel lines of separated dots built into NeoTicker or is it an extra feature?
Do you know if NT works also with IB feed?
Or is there any other charting package capable of doing this?

Yes, you can display it as line-chart too - in this case i did use dots to display individual prints. You could also use dots connected with lines for example. Or any other combination of the many charting styles. They got a demo to try it out yourself. Its quite a complex application, so it will need some time to learn it.

Neo works with IB too, yes.

Yes it is possible, i did a similar thing on my own for neoticker (provide realtime data + backfill). But that is something the Quotetracker devs should take care of, for the sake of ongoing compatibility and maintainance. Unfortunately, the MB SDK historical data functionality is still tagged as 'alpha' since like forever, and for this reason 3rd party application developers wont support it for production projects.

That is RIDICULOUS. You should never be slipped that badly. Its very rare that i get slipped more than 2 pips with deutsche, regardless of news.

i have a couple questions. i have not read this entire thread, so i am sorry in advance if they have been addressed already.
1. you guys are located in the los angeles area. what would happen to the company, it's operations, & the service it provides if a devastating category 8+ earthquake simply rocked the hq there & disrupts power for weeks? (god forbid). does mb have an action plan in case it does? if so, what is it?
2. how hard or stringent is it for someone to qualify for an acct there? if someone is not employed & their net worth is less than $35k (going off of the figure on the acct app form). what if their net worth is $25k?

You can utilize Ninja Traders services for free, but you will not be able to execute live through their platform. Are you attending the Ninja webinar tomorrow night?
