All,

Attached is a very, very minor update to version 2.11 - so minor that I've kept the version number the same and the only purpose for posting this is so that we don't lose the changes on the next version.

There was a slight error when displaying the ATR values on the Comment (Display) for 5 digit brokers (this didn't affect the calculation of the SL or TP, it was only on the display and therefore an update is not necessary). This is corrected in the attached version.

The EA(2.11) is opening 2 orders in the same pair at the same time.

I did not put 2.11 on as I was knocked out and as a matter of fact somehow my fxdd was closed.. darn... but I did open it right before 6am est.. so I will only have results from that point forward today.. bummer.

Gary, just at 7am est I had 5 trades open and close at the same time again. Not that this seems to be affecting it much, but it appears they would all be positive (or good trades) had it not closed them. These were opened right at 12:00gmt and closed either at 12:00 or 12:01gmt... but the GU must've gone below the low again because it got me in at 12:04gmt and they are still in. There must be code to ignore the 1st minutes of trading (or at least it gets in and then closes them)... this may save us from bad trades more than helping us.

ok since I got to watch some of the trades, there is a problem still somewhere.

2 Gu buys at 12:04gmt on 30m filters 2&3, 1 usdjpy sell at 12:25 on 30m filters 2&3, 1 eurjpy sell at 12:28gmt on 30m filters 1,2,3..

The 2 gu buys were well in profit at 12:30gmt, but they did not close. They closed at 12:37gmt at +2. They should've closed at +26.

The 1 eurjpy did not close and is still going, though I just realized at 12:30 it was not in profit, but I saw the trades close at 12:37 and it was in profit so I couldn't figure why it did not close that one single trade.

The usdjpy was also not in profit at 12:30gmt, and my stop was moved correctly, but it closed the trade in negative 5 pips before the stop at 12:37gmt...

So it is almost like you really are using the close of the trade candle and if it goes above/below it the next candle you are closing it out.

I'm just getting cranked up this morning. I see swnke2's v2.11 (thanks! swnke2) but nothing from Gary yet. I was going to run with swnke2's version until I saw llambert3's observations. As such, I think I'll probably sit this round out today.

I think to keep things under control all "final" EA versions should come from Gary only.

I am very happy to see Nick's (or anybody's) versions, but as agreed could we use "mod" for these please?

Would it be possible to put all the indicators used and the latest version of the EA all at the bottom of the first post and update them there each time a change is made. This would really help new comers. I just opened a new trade station and its not easy to find everything needed to make the EA run.

I believe the EA's defaults are taken from page 1. You only have to play with which indicator to set to 'true' after opening a currency pair.

2 winners today out of only 2 orders. I think I made some change somewhere that the EA refuse to trade more.

In my opinion the best configuration is the 3 filters ON and let the EA run on the 30TF. Also I will go back to use the version 2.10 because the 2.11 has some bugs.

This may be a little premature since I think we should just use a fixed (small) lot size until the stratagy is well worked out, but I think I've found an error in the money management section of the EA. I noticed this while reserching money management for my own program. It may well account for the error 131 (Invalid Trade Volume) that some have experienced IF they have Money_Management set to true.

It involves the following code in the lotMaker() function:

 double lotStep = MarketInfo(Symbol(), MODE_LOTSTEP);
 int digits = 0;
 if(lotStep <= 0.01)
  digits = 2;
 else if(lotStep <= 0.1)
  digits = 1;
 lots = NormalizeDouble(lots, digits);
I think this should be:

PHP Code
if (lotStep >= 0.1)
  digits = 1;
if (lotStep >= 0.01)
  digits = 2;
// May need...
if (lotStep >= 0.001
  digits = 3;
To be completely honest, I have no idea whether any brokers use .001 lots or not.

Well, bad day at the Forex office for v2.10 - although I didn't go active with it until about 16:00. It almost gave back all it's profits from yesterday. Again, just like yesterday, I used the v2.10 EA with all 3 single trade filters = true, used recommended settings. Running demo ForexMeta.

Hey,
Not a bad day at all!
Although it was pretty hectic and not really consistent, overall results are positive. I'm in $100 profit. I started with v 2.10 and then when Nick posted 2.11 I changed to that. I had to close the last few trades because they were not closed automatically by the EA, and SL or TP were not hit (and I needed to restart my computer)
