And could you share your settings for the dotted BB at least? seems to me it's not aligned (MA) with the other one, so there must be something I don't know

I use 2 Bollinger bands. One I use as the primary for applying Fibonacci Extensions to. The second I use to confirm a "Dual Pinch". The primary BB is the inner one with settings of Period 10, Deviation 1.5, and the second BB is the outter one, a standard BB with settings of Period 20, Deviation 2.0.

I will try that.
One more question: do you use those same settings in all timeframes? or have you tested which could be the best settings for each one? I usually have the same in all, but I've been reading again about BBs lately and it seems that they should be adjusted looking for a more perfect match to PA.
What do you think?

I do not change settings. Well, once in a while I may apply the Fib. Ext. to the outer BB (std. BB) and sometimes when I do this I have found "after the fact" that a Deviation of 1.8, or 1.9 instead of the normal 2.0 would make the extension levels more exacting.....but that is splitting hairs and I don't really bother with changes especially when I use the inner BB for extensions practically all the time.

Seems that the weekly is wanting to close inside the rising trendline... still soon to know for sure, but looks like a pin bar to me.

Hey Cashmeer I missed it to. I always get stuck on wanting to see a retest when it breaks the FPV. When it does not retest seems to be when we see some big moves. Like you, I got some of the retrace.

I like to see charts......rising trendline?.....pin bar....?......charts with notations. For me, anyway, it is the best way to absorb and learn from others.

For me anyway, all this confirms that the ONLY real and true fundamental in forex is that the Big Guns constantly manipulate pricing. They need to. After all, it is how they make their weekly pay! So, up or down, the only thing for certain is that THAT is what it will do! The Big Guns NEED to keep it moving in order to make money. And they can't just continuously move it in only one direction!

By the looks of it, learningmarkets.com may be nothing more than a front for the Big Guns. They put out what they want others to start believing while placing their trades against it. Don't go for the minor head fake (up)....it won't last they say early in the game. A few hours later we are up 300 pips......SOME HEAD FAKE!

And that is what happened exactly on the big move up today. I watched it all and I thought, "I'll enter when it breaks the DP". Then it did...but...I was waiting for a retest, which did not happen. Really it was a perfect setup, except for the retest.

Anyway BB, thanks for the tip. I had been watching the M15 but not the H1.

That's indeed a much better trendline than mine... I was only taking into account the last october rising trendline after the huge fall... will add the chart to my post as soon as I clean it up... my analysis chart ends up quite clogged on Fridays

(the underlying line is "your" longer term weekly rising trendline)

I just noticed that FF server had problems. I have re-downloaded the files and everything is ok now.
One problem though, each time I try to upload the templates, my MT4 platform crashes. My MT4 is version 218, am trying to upgrade to the 220 you guys mentioned without success. Any help there?

And if you draw the TL only on the bodies (which is what you would do on a line chart) you would see that TL maintained, assuming no more major moves today.

breakout I have ever experienced...

The two good trades I had this evening were the trix turn red on the 5 min...


ADD: Forgot to draw the divergence on the 5 min...the arrow just appeared on my chart

ADD 2 I'm really fond of divergence...in the last few days...divergence has done a remarkable job...
