I want to thank you for publishing this system. I started my trading yesterday and have the same experience like (I think) 100% of all starting traders - that I can sense the future movement etc. OK, losing money was the only possible result. Today I sat on my hands waiting for the precise signal as descibed and result - 117 pips on USD - JPY pair. Thanks again, it works.

Hello, I think there are no changes necessary. I use the system as it is and it works if you follow the rules...
I have been studying the Trend Followers for a month. I tried this on demo two days ago. I read that it will bring about 60/70/80% success rate. However, when I follow all the rules to entry by considering (1) EMA4,8 crossing (2) Red and Green Guppy relative position & all Guppy heading direction (4) Laguerre RSI crossing (4) MACD histogram value for entry. And have exit set to whenever the slope line turn to a direction against my trade. My results tried on USDJPY between 17Feb to 26Feb (8 trade days) is 4 win and 9 loss. aprox 30% success rate. Attached the figures. Please help me to see why is that.
I read from a previous post on this thread that the Guppy rainbow cannot be expanded too much, but how much is too much and how the previous EAs handle the expanding. Anyone knows?
It seems that Trend Follower is not drawing as much attention as before. it is commonly said that the efficiency of a trading system varies across time. My recent trial return a success rate of only 30% as attached earlier. I wonder if this system is still useful. Perhaps, I am wrong. Anyone who have been consistently using it in the past 3-5 months, please share your experience?

As I can see your examples you have only one good enter. Everything else is too late and not worth to enter a trade. IF you want to be successful trader you have to think, you have to be fox, not to be a chicken....SO my question is...what do you expect after a move of 100-200 pips that can happen with price?? You have to learn a little bit about forex spot market, you have to read this thread and listen to what traders said about trading this system, you have to know how to spot good support and resistance and what they are indeed, you have to be disciplined and have patience, in other word you have to do your homework. Now I can valuate all of your examples one by one but I do not want to do that. Because you did not do you homework...IF you red whole post before you would exactly know which signal is good and which is not. I have spent a lot of time and post a lot of posts here, if you red them you would know what to do with that system. IF fx spot would be so easy to trade every single trader would be a millionaire. Forex trading is not just find free system on forum and use it to trade successfully.
I think that I post this sentences which I will write now hundreds times.
So remeber well: Good signal is where price is steady for some time, like in small range, where is no big move behind, where guppy are well contracted and where lag and MACD match for signal direction. Where price rebound from some significant support and resistance level, and always in direction of mayor trend.
Now remeber that sentences and valuate your examples by yourself.
See red line. It seems like a losing trade. Inevitable?

Of course it is. Price rebunded from D2, S3 and after that you signal occured. Where do you think price can go further?? Outside your charts?? Sorry for joking but you need to think that after price pass long way and hit D2,S3 there are poor chances that price can go on further. Open any timeframe you want and you will se that price is not moving like we want, it rahter go in wave fashion. So some time there must be pullback or retrace.Think, think, think.....

I have to confess that I did not even have the general idea of preventing trading after big move!
Anyway, except the point theWicker has made about preventing trading when the guppy has expanded (but not sure how contracted should be)
I did not take much advice from other members, because I don't know which comment is good and which is not. You know there were comments in this thread suggested something which make the trading derivating from the original system.
After this experience, now I really learn that the trend follower signal should not be taken after big moves.
I wonder if any of the previous EAs take big moves and Support/Resistance into consideration!
If there is only 1 valid signal for 1 pair for 7.5 full days, it is too few. If I spend only 8 hours per day, I may need to wait a month for a signal for each pair. I hope it actually on the average much more than that.

EA can not work in spot fx market my opinion, maybe it can help you but trade instead of you, no way, if you ask me. I agree with you that there is a lot of comments on thread that can not help you to trade better. But, must tell you that good set up do not apper all the time....maybe 1-3 times a week.
Problem is that you can not measure how much guppy are expanded or contracted, that is why you should look for price to be steady for some time before signal and that will automaticaly contracted guppy. So it is not matter do you look for price to be steady or if you take a quick look on guppy to see if they are contracted, it is the same thing. But with guppy contracted you do not need to measure price range because guppy contracted tells you what is price doing. Guppy are heart of this system so pay much atention on them.

I agree with pilatus, EAs do not work in the forex market. I need someone to show me 1 year's worth of LIVE statement of a profitable EA using MT4. Not possible. The market is interchangeable.
After inspired by pilatus about big moves, consider the expansion of Guppy, and revise again the original manual of theWicker. I have filtered out most of the failure trade. Also, 1-2 trade have been changed from failure to winner.
This changing of failure to winner is based on the use of slope line for exit. It is written that the slope line direction change is used as a exit signal only after a MOVE.
I will now say that there are 3/3 winning ratio or 4/5 winning ratio, depending on the acceptable expansion of the Guppy.
I think only 1 valid signal out of 7.5 whole day is too few with referred to what the original manual said. I wonder like to share our view here.
These 3 trades are valid and the all are winners, if a narrow expansion of Guppy is used. The exit of the first one below should happen latter.
If we allow bigger expansion the following 2 will be accepted as valid signals. The first one below would be a winner if we allow "a move" (as said in the original manual) before using the slope line for exit.
The second one is a loser and it has the widest expansion out of all 5 signals consider here. If we consider there is a big move before the signal in the second one below, we can take the second out.
Overall, I am now have confidence that the Trend follower could be a very good tool for identifying good trades!
