You're Welcome It Doesn't Matter What Color Is Your Cloud , It's Important That You Can Use It ! Anyway You Can Change The Color By Going Into The Cloud Properties , And "Colors" Tab ... ("Tenkan-sen = 2 ; Kijun-sen = 3; Senkou Span B = 5" Are The Properties , Don't Change Them)

P.S. I Think It's Blue By Default.

I Don't Think THV Is Reliable On Range Bound Market ... Any Opinion ?
And E/U Is Really Ranging Today !!! Price Crossed 60LWMA (On M5) About 15-20 Times !!!

Ideal position size for a 2% risk (assuming it's 20 pips) on $200 would be $0.02 (2 micro-lots for $0,20 a pip). 0.1 lots (1 mini lot) is 32,5% margin at 200:1 leverage, and 65% margin at 100:1 !!! Risk per trade being 10%. It's way too high, in my opinion.

See things from the other side too: USD to your currency triples its amount... but if you need to replace the account, you need triple your currency...

Tuckee, we usually say you don't want to risk more than 3-5% of your account value in open trades. Therefore, I calculate yours, with a 25-PIP stop loss, to be .02, or $.20 per lot, believe it or not.

I have attached a spreadsheet you can use to calculate lot sizes based on whichever parameters you want to set, depending on your own risk appetite. If you are a new trader, be extremely careful though.

Hi Basber, I would agree with you that THV is not as reliable in range-bound markets. That is pretty much true for any system. To improve profit potential, a lot of our THV traders use trendlines on the M5 timeframe, or a support and resistance indicator. When price breaks above or below, they act. Just don't expect as big a payoff as you might otherwise expect.

Suggestion - complement your THV set-up with a normal M15 or M30 chart so that you can "step back" and more clearly see the range within which price is moving. Then, you can just about trade one way to a limit and the opposite on the way back to the other end.

In reviewing your trade 6049, here are a couple of things that stand out.

1. Support (which becomes resistance when PA is below it) immediately above your entry point. This would have kept out me personally.

2. You are taking a long position below the coral - adding to the risk.

3. All other time frames are trending against your trade. At best I would have considered this a 'scalp' trade and tried to grab 5 or so pips before getting out.

4. When you could see that the PA found in the one minute was not following through to the 5 minute - get out as best you can.

There are some traders who suggest not trading on Monday's and Friday's as the markets are much more likely to be range bound (a prior observation) and tend to whipsaw more. Another added factor to this range bound situation is that it is a holiday in the US. - no commercial trading

All in all - before taking a trade today - you probably will want to make sure you have as many factors in your favor as possible.

Considerations:

1.) 5 min green trix and signifigant trend line break...PA was not wanting to hit 1.2750

2.) 1 min Break of trix trendline, break of minor trendline and major trendline, with clear THV setup.
