Hello NanningBob,

i have an idea which made properly more profit in a maybe safe way.
What do you think about a Grid within the Grid.
we set at every 90 pips away from median the levels, right? and would it make sense to put within these Levels two sublevels with the 30x20.
so if Level 1 (60x90) was reached another EA activates orders between level 1 & level 2 with 30x20 because between the level 1 & level 2 were small pullbacks that did not hit the 60x90 TP but the 30x20 TP.
It will work like these:

Level 1 (90) hit, open order with 0.01 Lot.
Level 1.1 (120) hit, open order with 0.01 Lot.
Level 1.2 (150) hit, open order with 0.02 Lot.
TP at 130 hit, Orders at Level1.1 & Level 1.2 closed for profit
Level 1 Order still active, price go beyond Level 2 (180)
Level 2 (180) hit, open order with 0.03 Lot.
Level 2.1 (210) hit, open order with 0.01 Lot

and so on.

Does this make sense?

I dont see that working on volatile currencies but some of the slower ones it might. Pretty wild idea though, have not idea how to code two working EAs at once. I dont know if MT4 allows for that. If you know about the AUD/NZD EAs that trade both ways at the same time you have to use two charts to do that because it wont handle the commands of two EAs at one time. Maybe a coder can answer that better than me but with my knowledge I dont think you can do that in MT4.

Bro. you have made a good suggestion. The only problem is this will increase the trade which we are trading and just in case a stop loss get hit we will have more losee if compare with the initial setup. Anyway of course your method also will help the trade to make more profit if it does not hit the stop loss.

Got into large loss in level 3 on gj and ej. Threw recovery eas on those two. Looks like for next week I might just have to dump g/j.
We'll see if ej can recover, it is still working on L3 so hopefully it can make it back.

What time frame are you using ?
I am on 5 min and gj retraced at level 3 once and now again is on lvel 3.
E/j reached only lvl 1 and retraced. So far today my profit is 188 and my floating loss is minus 38 ( It looks like gj is retracing). I like this Ea very much and I want to thank nanningbob for it

EJ is on m15. It was still in level3 and didnt get much farther out, and just now it was starting to get back so I just closed it all out at a small profit. I was trying to get everything slowly and somewhat profitably closed out before end of the day.
The gj is on m5 and is on the level4 rescue trade, not quite in profit or small loss yet so am giving it some more time to let me close it out.
We'll see if I can before close

My gj level 3 target is 130.87, so i didn't feel confident in letting it try to come back without the rescue ea helping me out.

Ok, here are my results since 2/04. All trades are closed out now. The big dip in the middle is from gbp/chf last week. I have since dropped that pair.

I sincerely recommend NOT using 1st level larger than 0.02 lots for a 2000 or 3000 account.

every month, if using 0.1 lot, you may easily encounter 1000$ loss.

this system is great partly becos u have 0.01 lot to trade.

Profit is $181.93 for 2.5 days. EA is stopped as I want my live account also
stop trading around Thur and Fri after certain profit.

Another demo account, same factors other than lot=0.03, account is up
$79.84

Here is my week's result. I left gbpjpy open in the rescue mode hoping it would make back enough before close to close it all out, but it didnt.
I also noticed that if I had put this rescue on while I was sleeping (hard to do) much earlier, it would have closed it all out in profit.
I believe I am going to remove this pair as it is the only one left that constantly gives me trouble.
I will start fresh next week without G/J and see how it goes.
Quite impressive regardless, even if I just closed this pair down right now and took the loss.
Thanks Bob, this is definitely one of my favorite systems at this time.

P.S. you will also notice this was started late this week, so probably would have been another entire day's worth a profit tacked on here.

0.02 lots would be a tad sonservate me thinks...

based on a 500SL 3 level original at 0.1 lots... 2 levels of recovery also initial lot is 0.1 (so level 4 is 0.8 - dw will still get you in profit) on the EURUSD on a $3000USD account...

a SL hit drawdown would equal 28.97% or $869US.... i personally would find this acceptable based on my settings, depends how many trades and thus how risky your settings are regarding getting to first level.... if your maby getting 10-20 trades a day i wouldnt go ovver a 10-20% dd at SL

Charvo, I agree with you 100%. This is why I go further away from center than 90 PIPS. At .10 to start with and deep into a third level on a live account on two to four pairs late on a Thrursday afternoon, you can very well be down $1,000.00. Do you close those trades out at a loss because Friday is fast approcahing? Do you put a recovery EA on? Do you hold and hope? Demo accounts make for brave men and women, and bragging rights when the trades recovered, or slapping the recovery EA worked at the very last second. I do concur with you that on a $3,000.00 account you shouldn't start at more than .02 to .03 if you're trading at 90 from center, depending on how many pairs you have. One thing to be mindful of is that if you have 10 pairs or more, you can have three or more of those pairs going deep against you.

I have tried all these and have EA...single EA on single chart trade on buy and sell both side at a time with Limt order to avoide sliipage. also 2 stage EA say 60X90 Reach to 3rd level that is 180pip away from first entry 30x20 will start with little bigger lot and generate profit in consolidation phase. also i try using Hiken ashi as a filter to choose buy or sell.....

Has anyone tested this EA in demo if yes please post your statements... not only the picture...

I'm wondering if all the fiddling with this ea is necessary or even harmful. I let the ea, all 23 currencies and original settings, $1.00 lots, run all week, even Friday, and these are the results.

2/9/2009 Balance:2246.64 Equity:2221.32
2/13/2009 Balance:2706.88 Equity:2516.46

Biggest dip in equity was Friday, from 2514.39 to 2335.92. But as you can see it shot right back up again. I'm even going to let this demo run over weekend gaps to see how they affect it. Will post again next week. I thought this might be a good control study to see how modifying the ea compares to the original with virtually no trader input.

I forgot to mention this is the 3 level with no recovery eas.
