I was raised on classical music. I now enjoy passive music to keep me company.

www.hos.com - hour long tracks let me drop in and get a feel for the 15m movements without ever even switching over to them.

It keeps my emotions going in a straight line and lets me trade with my head.

I also like to experience my charts in different ways. I feed images of my charts through a sound mapping device and it turns the price movements into audible frequencies. The higher the pitch, the higher the price. See if you can follow this one. This is what real Forex music is This is the sound of gbp.jpy moving between the 25th of June and the 20th of July in 2007. Pull up a chart and enjoy it in a new way...

Of course it sure is nice having Beethoven's 9 symphonies on hand from time to time...

Asking what type of music you hear is an entirely different query than what music do you listen to. Hopefully for most people it's the same. I don't listen to music while trading.

LOL.

I listen to a little bit of everything - from classical, to old country, classic rock, metal, hip-hop, progressive, etc.

Although, I do normally like to listen to whatever suits the situation. Such as back when I used to foolishly open ridiculously large positions pre-news releases, I used to turn on "Highway To Hell"- AC/DC.

Surprisingly, that was exactly what happened a good 90% of the time.

I had no idea! I'm a huge Tool fan and I think Fibonacci is great too. My respect for the band just shot up a few more pips.
Thank you for sharing this.

I like all kinds of music, but the last year or so I've been into the Dance type music. Listen a lot to BPM on Sirius radio. Some samples:

Hey,

chillout rocks... *selfmade joke*

I actually listen to chillout a lot. I discovered a great program called clipinc.fx

Some german stuff which automatically records radio broadcasts for you...totally free

http://www.tobit.com/clipinc/

go to this link and click "kostenlos downloaden" ...you actually need to know a little german though.

I'am mostly listening to the chillout lounge of 1.fm... and to my playlist:

Here Comes The Sun (Piano Dream Mix) - Skysurfer
Be Chilled (Dub Mix) - Sirius & Nyla
Battlefield Part 2 - Chill Orchestra
Crossing The Bridge - James Newton Howard
Join Me - Gregorian
The Trainer Shuffle - Blues States
Ku Da Ta - Pete Tong & Chris Cox
Push the Limits - Enigma
When It's Cold I'd Like to Die - Moby
MOMENT SCALE - Silent Poets
Sweet Feeling - Crazy P
Deadmau5 - I remember
Nightminds (Dave higgins remix) - Missy higgins
Whisper - slovo feat
Tu despartar (Original chill mix) - Victor G. de la Fuente
Mystery (Moonwatcher remix) - Y-Traxx

Some good music that...for charting of course

i like to have some trance music going in the background. the driving pace keeps me awake and focused plus it's freakin awesome music. seriously though, it's fun, exciting music, which keeps me alert, which helps me trade better because i'm borderline ADHD and i need something to help me stay focused.
