My 2 Cents:-

If you look at the previous candles, there is no clear trend there. It has been going up an down in a range, probably deciding to take a direction. Also the trend indicator is showing that the trend is flat. I think other than that, every thing was looking fine.

You didn't take in account the previous highs that haven't been broken and act as a resistance.


Here I marked the points on your own chart

In a real break the candle should close above the resistance and even better if the resistance get retested.

Other observation, the PA was very closed to the Psych level 00

I don't run windows. I have a friend over that is trying to install THV on vista. Anyone willing to give tech support please PM me. Thanks

I don't think it matters what version of windows... I have it installed on Vista fine. As long as MT4 is loaded and works, it should be fine.

There are several critically important attributes of the CRB that are well known to veteran commodities investors that newcomers to this realm really ought to be aware of. The CRB index, now in its 10th major revision since it was launched in 1957, is comprised of 19 key commodities. These commodities are not equally weighted, either individually or by sector, and are arithmetically averaged and rebalanced monthly.

The CRB’s 4 energy components, which are crude oil, heating oil, unleaded gasoline, and natural gas, make up the largest proportion of this index by far at 39%. Crude oil alone accounts for 23%! This large energy weighting is a double-edged sword. Since the energy sector is so strong it is great for the CRB’s performance, but if you are looking for equal exposure across commodities the CRB no longer does this.

You probably don’t want equal exposure though. I sure don’t. The greatest gains in this commodities bull by far have been in the very capital-intensive hard-to-produce commodities, like metals and energy. Metals account for 20% of the CRB’s weight and once again energy is 39%. The remaining 41% is soft commodities like wheat, coffee, sugar, and livestock. The supply/demand profiles of these soft commodities are generally suboptimal."

I see what you are pointing out and I read the post on the divergence that happened shortly after, but I am unclear about something.

If I am understanding you correctly, I should have waited till those resistance points had been passed before entering the trade?

The resistance you posted is crystal clear now that you've pointed it out to me.

He can't download and unzip the file. I downloaded it and transferred it to his computer, but now his MT4 freezes No offense but what the heck is the problem with windows? Or is it us?

Knuckle, update the MT4 to the latest V220 and you will be fine.

I'm not sure I can help, but,

I'm running VISTA Home Edition on this computer and all is well.
The computer I'm using is two months old.

I'm assuming you have the correct metatrader build that is mentioned in the manual and here in the thread.

I have had difficulty with the file ffcalc. The news reader. It has frozen my computer.

Try removing it.

Take a look at the two charts below. I have marked the 5 min chart with a aqua line showing the HA candle I would have entered on for a long position. I then went to the 1 min chart to to time my entry.

Question. In one's opinion where and when would you have timed your entry on the 1 min chart, A or B. Again I have marked with the Aqua line the possible entry points on the HA candles. The purple line is the price I would have entered. Entry A - 1.2836 and Entry B at 1.2856.

Entry A, the fast Trix had changed to green and was above the zero line but had not crossed. Entry B, both Trix were green and had crossed. The difference is 20 pips.

Thanks in advance for your input.

There's an Indicator for MT4 but I think it's not free.

Enhancement to V3 with Range Bars? That will be so cool. Think it is pretty in line with the visual concept of using HA. HA replacement?
