Here is a small trade that I entered with out looking both ways...

Looked like a good setup, but the divergence was screaming not to trade. Not paying attention cost some pips...

I attached a trade i took that failed. Any advice? Was it because it was going into R1? Thanks alot.
Ignored
Indeed it was too near of R1. However all other rules were apparently met... but trend was down/flat on M5 at the same moment.

Not all trades will be winners, that's why MM is paramount. And checking higher TFs.

Hi Jerome,
The 'worms' only show up when the value YOU set is hit. There are no lines. If the value is not hit, you should see nothing. To change the settings Edit THV Color RSI from the Indicator list and change the values of variables overBought and overSold. Experiment with your own values and remember it is not perfect. I like it because I can set my own values and when it shows up I know exactly how overbought/sold the situation is. Trix only shows a general overbought/sold area.

The little multi indicator gives a look at other time frames....

Thanks macman,I am aware that the more indicators you use the less you will actually see but these are useful ones that I can use, since like you mentioned I only got 1 screen to look at.

I only added these 2 indicators to help a bit, thanks for the advise though.

Jerome

I just made my day

short since 1.2931 exit on S1 1.2836

Hi Jack,
I am interested in how you stayed in that trade this morning so long.
I entered at 1.2914, and took profit at MS1 1.2867.

When I set up a trade I look at the min stop loss which was around 45 pips in this case and use that as my best case scenario profit, then look for phsyc or pivots around that area. In this case MS1 was 47 pips away, so I came out there. If I remember correctly it was not that certain that the trend would blow straight through MS1.

Do you have fixed rules you follow for exits? If so, how do they work?

As we all know, entry is easy ... but exits?
How you don't mind sharing and congratulations on the trade - wish all days were like this.

I have this setup running on two different computers, and neither of them have the news on there. People posting screen shots seem to have them, however. Is it off by default? I didn't see anything in the manual or in settings...?

Hi Sleepy:
In your 1 min chart I can see that you entered when the red trix was crossing down.

Entering on the 1 min should have been after a THV setup and a clean break of that resistance...

What do you think?

Hope you got your 10 pips...
Ignored
Thanks for the analysis. Yes, i see it now, the overhead resistance. Makes total sense now. I was hoping to just watch two coloured lines cross, but I see now that's just not possible.

but yes, the demo trade worked out anyway, even a re-entry later.

Are you suggesting though, that we should sit on our hands, and actually wait for a 1 min fast trix to come down through, and not go long until it crosses up through again? I was using the change in colour of the 1 min to 're-enter' with the short-term trend since the fast trix was above already.

thanks again for the advice.

going for a quick real time post here...

does this potential trade look good? are we really that concerned about the turn up of the 5m fast trix?

everything points down for the 15m....just waiting for the 1m cross...right? Ok, at this moment it has crossed, but the rug hasn't been pulled out yet...

Hi macman,

I entered the trade on 1M, and it was such a strong movement that I locked some profit around 20 pips, and let it run on 5M, if you look at the fast trix that moment, it was clearly down, didn't retrace at any moment, not even at touch of MS1.

I exited at S1 (1.2836), fast trix was still red, but I could still had let it run some more, it touched 1.2820!

Sometimes it's better to trust the trix!

Hi dazzer

this is a Trix pattern the you see very frequently.

It shows divergence (the boxes) and has a high hit cuote.

I personally in these cases don't wait for a cross on the coral and take the trade on cross of the cloud.

Hi everyone,

Still trying to grasp this system using the M1 as entry and the M5 as confirmation. I've attached 2 charts regarding the sell-off just after 8:00am this morning GMT. I'm trying to figure out if the THV system picked this one up and my reasons for taking this trade had I been at the computer. This is what I am seeing:

1. The M5 trix both crossed after a slight divergence with price and turned red.

2. At 09:10 on the M1 both Trix headed down (were red) and price crossed the coral.

Its very easy to look at setups with the benefit...

you are working with an older version that needs the T3 THV indicator.

If you download the latest set on the first page you will not have that problem.

in other words, if you take a trade when you see that pattern, you have a very high chance that your trade will be profitable.

You got it?
