my stops @ 0.8815 and target @ 0.8680 however will follow this closely for better profit and just have adjusted the sl to b/e..

Shermentor the EUR/AUD short is a good one...
i'm a bit late to grab this...

Thanks took profit with 92 pips letting the rest run now...

Up about 25 pips so I will be moving my stop to break even preety soon...

Hi Shermenator, nice trade. Which level did you short it from? I see that your short entry is in the middle of 2 levels you marked on your chart (one is never reached and another is well passed), would you mind to give more info on that entry? you watched price actions?

Well I trade preety different then most traders...the resistance that broke was my indication that it would most likely fall....I always attempt to do the appossite of retail and sell in the places that 95 percent of the traders buy and vice versa...

I lost this trade (although it went substantially down afterwards). It was like, just after hitting my SL, it went down. So, I would like to know, what is your criteria for putting SL.

Following was my Limit order:

Entry: 1.7430
SL: 1.7480 (I have fixed 50 pip SL)
TP: 1.7200

But, failed.

Can u please explain how to put the SL.

I dont have set rules...I typically look for a support or resistnce to the left...sometimes I will use smaller timeframes for that...other times I use halve and full numbers ...it also depends if I am trying to time a higher timeframes rythem or simply trading that rythem...it also depends If I am trying to scale in or I am going full in ...also the speed that it aproaches the level the time of the day theirs many variables to how I do my stop ...the stop is more of an art I have no exact rules..I simply adjust to the market conditions...

I can see that fading the retail trades is a reasonable way to be profitable They often buy into demand and sell into supply, as Sam Seiden put it.

But after that resistance was broken, what made you pull your trigger? Price slowing? I remember BRV once said that he watches the tick actions sometimes.

The fact retail is willing to buy at a certain area is what makes me decide to sell....most people try and trade the breakouts and only market makers do this once they are filled in completly....I never buy when the market is going up or sell when the market is going down...I always do the exact oppossite of what the retail attempt to do ...keep in mind 95 percent of them loose
