Results are from a demo account in MetaForex. I traded the 3 filters at the same time but independently (first 3 trade options set to true) for the recommended hours of 0700 - 1959 GMT. I traded all 5 pair listed in post #1, each pair was traded for two time frames; M30 and H1. The SlingShot version 2.0 (bugs and all) was used and all trades were handled by the ea without any interferece from me. Bottom line - not a bad day of trading, not bad at all.

GBP/JPY M30 W = 18 (261 pips) L = 3 (165 pips) Net = +96 pips
GBP/JPY H1 W = 1 (1 pip) L = 0 (0 pips) Net = +1 pips

USD/JPY M30 W = 12 (229 pips) L = 3 (75 pips) Net = +154 pips
USD/JPY H1 W = 1 (1 pip) L = 0 (0 pips) Net = + 1 pips

EUR/USD M30 W = 6 (80 pips) L = 3 (88 pips) Net = -8 pips
EUR/USD H1 W = 0 (0 pips) L = 2 (36 pips) Net = -36 pips

GBP/USD M30 W = 16 (133 pips) L = 4(119 pips) Net = +14 pips
GBP/USD H1 W = 0 (0 pips) L = 1 (6 pips) Net = -6 pips

EUR/JPY M30 W = 17 (302 pips) L = 5 (129 pips) Net = +173 pips
EUR/JPY H1 W = 1 (8 pips) L = 1 (45 pips) Net = -37 pips

Total M30 W = 69 (1,005 pips) L = 18 (576 pips) Net = +429 pips
Total H1 W = 3 (10 pips) L = 4 (87 pips ) Net = -77 pips

Grand Total W = 72 (1,015 pips) L = 22 (663 pips) Net = 352 pips

hi first of all thanks for all work, i'm catching up with posts now and like what i see, very much! now i'm quite new to Metatrader and especially setting up EAs. so could you please briefly describe how to set it up - i'm not sure what settings are used and what not by the robot.
Things like Take Profit, Stoploss, Lots or the Account or money management settings.

Attached is the lastest version of the ea - Slingshot 2.1 - changes include:

1. Bug fixed I mentioned in earlier post - may be others, more forward testing is needed so have fun with it but please report any problems;

2. Cleaned up various 'Comments' that appear in upper left corner; I had screwed them up in the testing of version 2.0;

3. For those who want to experiment by testing outside the recommended trading window, I've added a 'Sunday Trading' parameter you can set to true or false, default = false, and changing your trading time window.

4. At the recommendation of TimeFreedom, I've also added a parameter for setting your 'GMT Offset' which should help getting your trading time correct. For example, my broker is +2, so I set the GMT Offset to "+2" and my trading times to "TimeToTrade1 = 0700" and "TimeToTrade2 = 1900" which are the recommended trading times (see post #1) and the ea takes care of it from there.

Wonderful work. TY for sharing. One question are you going to be testing this on default settings? If not would you mind post the set file you are going to test as I would like to test the same settings you are and compare the results I get with my broker versus what you get with your broker. This is just to see what the differences are between the brokers.

I tried to attach the set file but apparently not a file type I can use in the attachments of ForexFactory. So I'll just list them; for the results I got today, the only changes to the default settings were:

1. TakeProfit and StopLoss - set for whatever pair(s) your trading (see post #1);

2. GMT Offset - set according to your specific broker;

3. TradeUsingMMF = true (this is the default);
TradeUsingSF = true;
TradeUsingZF = true;

That's it!

I've posted the new version of the ea. Please give this new version a good look - I found one possible explanation for the similar results you and I posted earlier on version 1.4 and 1.5. Its a strange little bug in that it wants to skip randomly over a change in trend now and then. This is the second time I've thought I found the problem and provided a fix ............but, only forward testing will provide us the answer. In backtests the ea traded perfectly and it was only last night when the market opened did the little fellow rear its ugly head again. Hence, version 2.1 is posted for further testing. Thanks for the help.

Glad you have remembered...the reindeer are working overtime I will not be able to do any forward testing of your EA's until I get more disk space on my computer. I am down to 0 and everything is in very, very, vey slow motion. I am working on it and hope to have things re-booted and upgraded by next week.Guys and gals...please keep posting your results and I will get back to testing as soon as I can. Thanks Gary, those were great resutls today happy happy I'll be around, but this takes a lot of effort for my computer, and so have closed all EA's so i can still trade my daily trades.Thanks for making this a great thread.....let's make it better Damon

Sorry for the late response - had to take my dog out for his nightly walk! For the ea to work you only need to have the following indicators in the indicator folder - these don't have to be on the chart, just in the folder (I know you know this but a newbie reading this may not):

Stochastic
Zee Zee i
MACD_inColor

If you want to monitor the trend changes you can add on the chart:

SSMultiFilter_v1

Computers never hold enough data and they never run fast enough, even when we buy a new one! I hate it when my computer basically goes on strike due to over use by ............ somebody, it couldn't possibly be me.

I'll keep posting my results after the close of the trading window.

hi,
I'm using v2.1 now and it looks really good, since 7GMT it traded quite a few times without any lost.
I think the problem I was having with the settings is over with the new v2.1. Previously no matter how I set up v2.0 I couldn't get it to work that's why I was enquiring settings.
