If you are referring to the comments set forth by FINRA - our Forex division is not regulated by them, therefore it currently does not apply to our business model.

We are only regulated by FINRA from a securities standpoint.

Could you please leave the Metatrader demo a little bit more "up" becouse during the past weeks probably you were doing some tries/bug fixing, and as a soft. developer, I undesrtand, but the problem is that potential future customers like me, when they join the demo and it doesn't work for days, they may be discouraged to come with you... just a constructive suggestion.
The demo is meant to try how it feels with you, but it must work 70% of the time at least, and perfectly say when you bring it down if dictated by your choice, an advising "bcc" email would be sufficient to advise every trier... so the triers know otherwise they flee .

I had the same problem, someone was kind enough to point out that they sent an e-mail with a new server IP address, Check the e-mail in MT4.

Hi Justin-

Little quick background. I trades stocks, futures, and forex. I've heard a lot of good things about MB Trading over the years, but I've never opened an account with you for a couple of reasons. First, I prefer MetaTrader, so I have had forex accounts with brokers like IBFX. Second, I have had my stock account with IB for years and was mostly too lazy to switch.

I'd like to take a moment to let you know that I spent some time on your new website this weekend. Considering how much you guys offer, your site is extremely intuitive and user-friendly. I got around quickly to where I wanted to go and find the information that I needed. That's a welcome relief to a company like IB, whose site is a total mess, but who offers just as many asset classes as you. It's not really fair to compare your site to other forex brokers as they have less to say. So, kudos on the site, it made my research very easy.

Now that you are about to offer MetaTrader 4, I'm thinking about moving my accounts to you. Curious: Why does IB offer forex and stock accounts in one (I wouldn't trade forex with them anyway, but they offer it) and you don't? Second, what sort of monthly volume does a person need to be doing to get the commission breaks in forex that you have mentioned on these boards? Just a general starting point would be nice.

You guys have always had great word of mouth even though you seemed to lack a few small pieces that would make you, I suspect, the broker of choice for most people. I'm starting to get the feeling that you understand that now and some of those pieces are being filled in, which is great.

Meanwhile, thanks for all of the time that you spend on these boards. It's very refreshing to see a firm stand up and answer questions...even the tough ones.

It would be nice to see MBTrading incorporate forex, indices, commodities all in one account. I use MT4 and am awaiting your live roll out of the platform. I have wanted to trade all three on an MT4 platform, but no one in the states offers that. The only reputable firms that offer forex, indices, commodities together on MT4 are ODL Securities UK and Activtrades UK. Being a US citizen I can not open accounts with these firms to trade. I am not interested in Interactive Brokers for that and outside of them the field is ripe for the taking. Please make a suggestion for MBTrading to incorporate forex, commodities, indices in your MT4 platform. MBTrading would surely corner the market in that respect if they did.

Yes I did read that, just wondering what the worse case may be as regulation changes down the line. I would always want access to "decent" leverage even if I didn't use too much. I guess we'll see.

Please be aware. We are currently Beta testing MetaTrader 4, which means that we have a handful of people trading on the live environment and literally thousands trading in the Demo environment. As we find issues, we resolve and upload new code only to the Demo environment (Live is only updated on weekends so as not to disrupt the Live traders). When we do a code update, it will likely freeze some orders (i.e. you won’t be able to cancel or close certain positions). This weekend, for example, we deleted all open trades and orders in the Demo environment so that everyone can start fresh with no stuck orders. In two instances over the last week or so, we actually took Demo down for over a day to work on something. Once we feel confident that all potential bugs and issues are resolved, then the product will come “off Beta” and be available for live trading for anyone that wants it. At that time, the Demo environment should also, obviously, be fairly stable (we do some testing with the Demo environment on new features, so it will occasionally run into issues that Live won’t). In the meantime, please understand: The Demo environment is there to play with if you wish, but we make no promises that it won’t go down or that you won’t run into issues. If we waited until the weekend to upload every code update in Demo, this whole process would take much longer. We did six updates in the last week alone. If we did one of those a week…the progress we made this week would have taken six weeks. See the point? If you feel that any downtime in the Demo environment is making it difficult for you to test your EAs, for example, then my suggestion would be to hold off on trading in Demo at all until we take the product off Beta. That’s just how it works.

Hi Justin,

In case you're collecting feedback for the Beta charts in Navigator: I LOVE them. Sure saves me some $ from having to get another source for charts.

Some potential improvements:

1) Line charts. BADLY needed. You have "Renko" and "Kagi", but no line charts?? As I mentioned in my last post, this should be a staple in any charting software. I talked to one of your techies, and he said "They were there before. Wonder where they went. We'll check on it." That was a week ago. Today: still no line charts.

2) The "zoom in" function could be better. Currently, the click and drag doesn't do it very well. The resulting "zoom" is either too big or too small, and doesn't open the zoom to the "drag" size.

3) No "zoom out"?

4) The crosshair doesn't show you the corresponding X and Y axis position. I can see APPROXIMATELY that the line is between price A & B, but if the exact price/time of the crosshair isn't highlighted in the axis, what's the point?

Anyways, other than these, so far, I'm loving the charts. Please let me know if there's a different place I should be submittig these feedbacks.

I am starting week four of full time tradeing with small positions with your firm, before I move all my business to you. So far I would say that I am pleased, but understand that my satisfaction is highly coloured by the improvements that were promised to be coming.

Like everyone else, I await MT4's full implementation. God's speed on that.

ACH in and out. This is also important, but two months after the Holidays it is not up and running. I realize things take time, but actually getting things accomplished is an important element of customer service, not just promises for the future. Because of the stupid restrictions imposed on your firm by US law vise a vie segragated accounts, I am reluctant to keep large amounts on deposit when they are not engaged in the market. ACH allows the easy, and free transfer of funds into and out of my FX accounts, so lets get moving on this.

My other area of concern is the nightly server down time, during which I have been told that standing stops will not be exectuted. I was told at signup that you were working to move this to the roll over period, which is the quietest time in the 24 hr day, and the safest time to handle that as we are offline for roll over anyway. Another thing promised that has yet to be delivered.

Last week at around 2AM a large AUD/JPY short hit the market when thin, and sent even the majors on a big pip bump that shook the market, as it came out of nowhere and traders were picking up the pieces asking what just happened? It is moments like these that protective stop loss orders are made for. I feel like I would be walking the tightrope with your firm to have a large order open during your long, oddly timed nightly server maintainence.

All in all I think the changes you are implementing bode well for your firm, and I can foresee you picking up market share IF, you have some follow through.

how long are the server downtimes atm? that would not bode well for 24x5 EA users
