Sahars, I've been running the EA for about 3 weeks as well. It has made a continuous profit, however I made some mistakes in the handling of the drawdown, which can be quite large, which caused me to lose a bit of money, which I stress is my fault, not the EA.

Sometimes it can take a couple of day's to hit the profit target.

Are you refering to the *set files.. you put them in the preset folder, then when you attach your EA, on the side it says load, click load then navigate to where the set file is then select the *set file you want. Then you're good.

I've been putting the .ex4 files in the indicators folder, and the template file in the template folder. I open a chart and then apply the template, but it gets screwed up. Some of the tables display, but most do not.

Nope, the ex4 folders go in the expert folder.

I got 1 pending order by this Ea since 19th Jan. I just leave it there..and this currency DD is up and down but not more than $20 (for 0.03 lots). I got 2 pending order since 28th Jan. 2009 and 2 just opened recently.

Based on the forum,some forex expert mentioned that normally the currency takes at least 2 weeks for retrace back. So.. we just wait and see for the next 2 weeks if the DD is reducing(mean s retrace it's started), otherwise you may closed it manually. In my case I'll leave the EA run and only set to close when the currency DD reach $25 per currency.

Sahars, thanks for the info, are you using the default settings? I was using 2.6/1.2 on a 5 min chart

Hi..Guys..

Out of 2 from 3 trades open by V5 this morning is already closed with 22 pis gain, while 1 pending order still open with DD less than $1. So far the set was running good... Is there anybody has the same result as mine..?!

Sundog,

I was using a default set,but I increase the TP from 11 pips to 21 pips. I used 1H time frame. Starting from next week, I'll increase my TP from 21 pips to 51 pips and see the result. If the result is almost the same with TP at 21 pips, I'll go for live with this setup.

So far this EA is running perfectly, except we do not know what is the suitable TP to take in order to cover the DD for manually close the order.

well I used your set file on v7 so far i have 2 losses and one still open which will be a loss soon.

Pls refer the attached file. 2 closed with gain and 1 still pending with -$0.78 DD.

One of the reason I don't use V6 and above version is due to I already comfortable with V5 set. Sometimes too many and rigid filters is also not good..we are take an order in a bit late. Forex does not have any promising trending as such that the trending should be like this... after having a trending like that...but it has a probability what is going to be.... That's why I choose smaller TP with Jumping Stop features for nailing at least certain pips before it retrace.

Steve, V7, Range Method, when the Strength is at trigger, it says basket pending.. when it turns back, the pending disappears, no validating.

This is working as it should be. There are some stringent conditions to be met before the EA will send a Range basket - so stringent that I turned off the time filters otherwise it never traded the Range. The user guide has some detailed descriptions of the trade filters used. Last couple of days, Range has been the bread-and-butter of the triple method demo.

I just looked at the demo-trading computer and see that the Range and Original trades are being set and managed by V6, so I have updated to V7 just to make sure. It shouldn't make any difference, as V7 has nothing in it that alters the coding for Range and Original methods.

This might be down to market conditions, but I have noticed a peculiarity in the KG RS GROUP indi.

Take, for example, the white JPY line; what I describe is typical. Often its position on the graph and its numerical strength value are at variance, and often by a lot. The numerical value can be, say, 62 on one tick, 25 on the next.

My broker is IBFX and they do not have all 28 pairs required by the indi, so the inconsistency I describe might be a result of this. The problem it causes is that the EA can think a trigger pair have recrossed and so close a trade, whereas in reality this is a momentary situation.

I have turned off CloseDcTradesOnRecross until we have had a re-think.

What do you guys think?

And in the Original Trading method, it doubled up on the trade, that is that it opened a group for pairs, then opened the same group of pairs up 1 minute later.

Strange. My 'safe' demo made 180 pips, in round fugures. It is up 390 overall. All trades are closed and there are none pending.

We shall see.

I am trying to imagine how that might happen, so a couple of questions:

  1. You don't happen to have a second instance of the EA running, that you had forgotten about, do you?
  2. Did you happen to notice if the duplicate basket send started before the first basket send was complete? Could you examine the trade open times please? I am wondering if the EA could be fooled into sending a duplicate by a fresh quote arriving in mid-send.

Only 1 "Original" method EA in operation, in addition to the Range and DC on seperate charts.

The first group, was opened at 08:46, the second at 08:47.
