For me Pin bars are best when theres a good 75% nose 25% body ratio and that nose is not in "traffic" or in other words it sticks out from the crowd.I love Pin Bars!!!

i was watchin the gb myself and the chf pin didnt close as a pin on my feed.
the gb/yen has though so any thoughts on this one??

For me it's a good PB, its shape is great, but it looks like is in trafic (sidewalk market). It looks there is a minor PPZ around 128.0

If you set your S/L just above the PB, you will have around 200 pips S/L, so IMO it's not woth the risk.

More experienced trader, could give you a better thoughs...

When the pullback is confirmed with PA makes it less risky.

A good pullback area to the .9100ish level which is a Daily PPZ also the strong Round Number .9000. Just entering short at these levels is risky. That is why we need to confirm it with Price Action, the higher the time frame the better.
Indicators show the past. Price Action "Indicates" the future.

i do like the location though. and the fib confluence and monthly pivot with div. on rsi.
gonna set a sell order below 129.00 wish me luck.
gb seems to be peaking across the board ??

Nice to have you on the forum. For the NZDUSD will you be looking for a break of the inside bar or do you have a bias in one direction or the other?

Here's a chart showing the GBP/JPY daily. I will be watching this for a long trade. There are pros and cons, as always. I know this is a long and above is posted about shorts. Please keep the time frames in mind too. I am not allowed to look under the day charts so far... per James16 'best learning' practices.

Pros:
1. TBH (2 pips between #1 and #2). Highs of bars are 130.66 (130.64).
2. Today (Wednesday) was an Inside Bar, which was broken to upside.
3. We have the beginnings of a trendline break or a downward triangle break, shown as red lines.
4. Last week was an inside bar on weekly... about to be broken higher. High of weekly = 130.66.

Cons:
1. We are in traffic, trying to get out, but we aren't out yet. Once we get above 131, I would comment that we would be out of traffic and 130-131 would act as support (which would make 131 Resistance now.)
2. Overall Trend is downward, so this would be counter trend.

As always, open to any and all comments and suggestions. Just trying to push that learning curve here.

Here's a daily chart of USD/CHF. Today (Wednesday) closed as an insider bar. Looking to enter on breakout Long.

Pros:
1. With Trend, entering on retrace.
2. Weekly inside bar has already broken out in bullish direction.
3. Confluence of EMA21, EMA50, and SMA100.

Cons:
1. Some resistance from this past swing high formed by the pinbar looking bar (not a pinbar by strict standards though) as well as doji bar, signalling indecision in this range.

Was looking through this week's thread and found Ghous' post on these - to maybe play a breakout of the GBP/JPY... depending on PA. Just one more angle to play this.

Im watching it too, I could be in at the brake (confirming PA at pullback) of 1.17. Partial TP could be around 1.18.

What alot of dojis across the yens and the Cad,Swissy has an IB the size of a small nation which it is, cable and fiber nothing.To me this means global doji/Ib or no one has a clue whats next which in light of NFP makes sense.So i know that we dont know and being as i have no great set ups it makes sense.Even my last hope of an ib on kiwi is 0.5 pips or half a pip inside the previous bar....great the idea of an inside bar is the smaller the better so what do you think im gonna do...Nothing. Price action can be so much better than this really.
