Doblece, correct me if I'm wrong, but the manual does not seem to specify the fast trix should cross zero. Did I miss that?

It doesn't, both Trixes should have crossed each other though and be of the same color.

However, if Trix has crossed the zero line it's a better confirmation.

I'll add then to my comment:

"and the fast Trix was barely touching the zero line, as well as both Trixes had barely crossed each other".

Too small a cross IMO.
Trendline and divergence say it all, anyway.

Also, the trend on M5 was clearly up, and ascending in M1.
Remember to go with the trend for safer entries.
Hi Doblece

Thanks for your reply to my post, are you saying that the 5m is in an uptrend because the PA was above the coral? The Trixie on the 5M was very strong down when the trade was placed.
Regarding the divergence, are you talking about the divergence on the 1M which was about 20 bars which is marked on my chart.

Should we add the "trix crossing zero confirmation" to the manual? Just a suggestion.

Hi all,

My first post here, just read through the entire thread ( phew) and downloaded the new V3. Have been watching it today. From what i see, a tremendous system on m1, if you keep with the rules. So many thanks to all the active posters, the originator Cobra, and the developers who've worked hard on the system.

I have been looking also at divergence using both the trix and a cci divergence indicator. Divergence is a powerful tool, I believe. I think this system would be complete if the kind souls here could write an indicator for trix divergence. Perhaps modify an existing indicator such as cci divergenge or fx5 for the trix.

Congrats again on an excellent job, and thanks for sharing selflessly.

Hi everybody, hope you all made your pips today.

It was a good scalping day with a clear to read PA that was retesting the actual channel and till now couldn’t get broken.

Lot’s of posts to re-read, thanks for that. I will study them and add some more instructions to the manual. I saw that the hour setup for the pivot indicator is the most questioned part.

The team and especially our treasure Doblece have done a great work to answer in the best way all questions made, many thanks for that.

I have to go again, with the release of V3 I have some mountains of company work waiting for me, later I’m trying to find the time to upload the new files and manual on the first page included the analyze chart.

I’m not trading at this time because the PA is closed to the UTL of the channel and I would like to see a break or clear bounce back from it to find a good trading direction.

Indeed I already thought about that, we will have to ask our coders to see what they can do about it. I personally have used the Fx5 divergence indicator and it works pretty well.

Let's see what Cobra has to say, IMO it would be good to add it to the "safer" or conservative trading plan.

The Trix indicator we are using is a very complex code and there are no buffers left to use.

To have an indicator triggering divergence would be a new one based on trix.

I personally prefere to use trend lines on the fast trix line, an indicator will be lot slower (about three candles) in the detection of divergence.

Concerning the ATR stop-loss indicator. Obviously this can fluctuate with each candle. Once a position is entered, let's say SL was based on the indicator. As ATR changes over time, is it suggested to change the SL correspondingly or keep it at its original price (assuming other factors being irrelevant)?

If you draw a trendline on both timeframes, you will see that the trend is slowly ascending (on M1) and has been clearly up for the last 6-7 hours.
The trend you'll be observing must be appropriate to the TFs that you trade, of course in a higher timeframe you'll get a different vision.

How to determine a trend?

At the moment of your trade (as far as I can see on your chart) the Fast Trix on M5 was turning up and starting to change its color.

1. i think i lost my coral, any idea why?! it went missing... (any settings to be done in coral indicator manually?)

Unless there's a tremendously big spike, it's value shouldn't change so much.
In fact, the considered "safe" setting (IMO - most people use 1,5 to 2*actual ATR) is usually 2*max ATR or 3*min ATR (of the recent range). By setting it at 3*actual ATR it is really safe enough, however remember that if you are trading based on a higher timeframe, this should be the SL to consider, even if your entry is made on a lower TF.

ATR*3 allows for three times the actual volatility at the moment the trade is taken.

Off for now. Got only +60 with THV 3 today. Very good result I guess.
Manage your risk accordingly and you're half done your home work.
