Bagged 270 pips on my first real money forex trade! Thanks all again that contribute to this thread, I know its just one trade, but I feel like I sort of have an idea what I am doing now
As long as you can keep to only taking the best looking setups and avoid overtrading, you'll have conquered the one major hurdle at which most fall, and be well on your way to long term profitability.

Short on GBP/JPY
basically just confluence from 2 fib lines on 4h chart. seemed as though it had room to run too. i would of just sold half of my position here, but didnt plan for it accordingly, so i just sold it all
Hmm I feel almost embarrassed to post my chart, it was really pretty simple and basic... that being said I guess I should definitely work harder on my next trade I signed up and got 50 bucks from FXCM micro, figured I'd try to parlay it into something decent. Would basically be similar to paper trading, except I would potentially make "something" 
Have a little over 200 now, and probably need to find better setups so I don't have to add more to it.
Was basically looking for a good entry on a chart in a long term downtrend, hopefully capturing a huge move. There was confluence on the 4h chart from 2 previous retraces. The confluence was at the 61.8, and 50 levels, figured it the best shot at a good entry for a long term move. Underestimated how much I had put down on trade, and made a little more quicker then I had expected... decided it was enough to hang onto. Wasn't exactly a James trade by any means but I think this thread has still gotten me to think properly about trades. I've been doing pretty good on paper too as well. Still tons and tons of work ahead of me I know, but nice to get a little motivation early I guess.
