Yes, it represents the flat area but I am now using the new BBFlat indicator in this post http://www.forexfactory.com/showpost.php?p=2504242&postcount=49

It does not have text telling you to TRADE or DON'T TRADE, but is more intuitive. You can see at a glance where the flat parts are and more importantly when the trend breaks out and the RED bars separate.
Starting to see instead of just looking.

Look good for me and all, if u leave like that, that mean
the broker will buster or take our money.

I was working on the EA purely for the reason that I wanted to automate my managed accounts, but since I saw it is not feasible, I left it.

Instead I went on to make an EA which copies whatever trades I take on my platform onto multiple accounts, which is far better option.

To anwer a few questions/remarks in ealier posts:

I am using a different system, that uses TF bases charts, but also Pip Range Bar Charts. Email me if you want to know more. The brokers are NOT our friends, they are our enemies and don't like us to reach levels where we make consistent profits.

Basically I keep coming back to my COG setup, as Rastaman mentioned, there you can see where the PA is going and what your changes are to get out even or with a small profit.

All the stuff that JL has posted here is not cutting it for me, except his earlier version of his EA, that was getting some results, but then trading it MANUALLY, it produced a lot better.

Basically it is all about MM.
If you know how to limit your risks and let the runners run, you will improve your equity.

Personally, I want to make 20 pips per day, it pays my bills and keeps me from swimming with the sharks.

I went through an interesting video on ibfx.

The video said, if you base your EA on the current candle then there will be lots of whipsaws, but if you base it on the previous closed candle then the chances of having a winning trade increase.

You couldn't be more correct about the money mangament and limiting risks. Here is a typical NB mistake that I made on my IBFX demo account. Hopefully it can be some sort of learning experience for others trying out a new system, as it was for me (again).

I entered a short trade on the 15 minute chart based on the indicators late at night right befor the London session. The indicators were correct for a short, unfortunately since I am in California and it was midnight, I fell asleep WITHOUT setting a stop loss or take profit on the order. Needless to say, the market reversed while I was asleep, and since I had no S/L, I ended up down about -3200 on the demo. Should I have been awake for the short term trade on the 15 min chart, I would have bagged a 100 pips or so befor the reversal. When I went back to analize the market on the 1 hour TF, all of the indicators said buy, NOT sell.

For me, the lesson learned using this system and its indicators, if you are trading a lower TF, stay awake and AWAYS ALWAYS use a stop. Well, always use a stop no matter how you trade.

Looks quite interesting if one can also learn to trade the reversals without getting burned.

hello,

i traded in 1min timeframe, scalping the pips. i needed approx 30-40 trades, maybe some more maybe some less. cant remember exactly, its was demo trading.

Hi jungle .
I still dont understand a few things , what is the difference between your system and a regular cross of 2 simple ma's? basicly it looks the same, good for trending market, bad for sideway. for that you use the stdiv but i still dont understand when to enter, it should be above certain level to filter sideway market? you said wait for a "spike" but after this spike the price has already done a big move move and it might be a little late to enter so that indicator seems lagging and i dont really see his big advantage.
On the other hand i tried putting the sidewinder as a filter and it looks much better. you can see an example here, one very good signal with green sidewinder and one bad signal with red sidewinder that should have kept us out of the trade.

I lost money by using the system on one minutes chart. May be it is good to use 5 min or 15 minutes chart?

Still trying to figure out on a 1 minute how to stay in trade versus a TP. Is a problem of mine. But thanks JL. Very useful.

i get alerts that say sell when arrow is up and vice versa. How do I fix?
