I got a scalper EA in one of the other forums and I would like this Forum to discuss, Backtest, Forward test and even tweak if its needed...

Why don't you do the testing yourself and tell us how it works instead of asking everyone else to do the work for you?

Questions that come to mind are:

Where did you get it?

What was the creator using it for?

What do you plan to use it for?

What time frame is it designed for?

What currency pair?

What are the EA's settings for Entry, Exit, SL, and TP?

After all, an EA is designed for a specific strategy, so getting a "scalper EA" doesn't mean anything unless you know what time frame you're working with, currency pair, etc.
As a scalper, its designed for small timeframes like M1, M5, and if it's to big M15.

It came from alpari forum!!!! I was searching for a good scalper and someone give it to me....

It was planned for scalping

Unfortunately, I don't know the setup or its build

Currency pairs are strictly USD

I haven't even tested it for long but I got +18, +25and so on USDJPY pair in my demo.

I don't have a strategy tester so I can't backtest it.

Yes you do have the tester. Just press ctrl R and follow the instructions in MT4
Forex-tsd has been forward testing this EA for months. Subscribe to their Elite section and you can view forward test results from there.

how did the scalper ea work im a newbie thats intrested in the scalping method and would like to know how did the scalper ea worked out
I just backtested the EA under the conditions specified in the comments at the top of the source file. EURUSD, M1, default EA settings.
I can verify that it backtests well.

A couple of interesting characteristics of the system. It has a high success rate 82%, the average winner is about $6 and the average loser is about $20. So you have frequent smallish winners and an occasional $20 hit.

I tried changing the trading hours but the default setting of 0800 - 1800 appears optimal. But if you think about it, it makes sense since this encompasses the London and NY trading times.

i have a problem, maybe you can help me.

while backtesting with 0.01 lots, i get the error: order send error 131.

i have googled some hours and tried with the code:
Print(MarketInfo(Symbol(), MODE_LOTSIZE));

Print(MarketInfo(Symbol(), MODE_MINLOT));

Print(MarketInfo(Symbol(), MODE_LOTSTEP));

Print(MarketInfo(Symbol(), MODE_MAXLOT));

but its not helpling.

any ideas?

TP = 100, SL = 100, Average win = 6.17 Average loss = 17.83 ?? something is not right, test for a longer date range than 2 months, try 2 years or more.
20 pips a day isn't too much to ask . . .

I'll tell you what's not right - his modelling quality of less than 25% for one!
you have to adjust pips/points-stuff and ordersend/ordermodify-process because most of the brokers are 2stage ordersend, so you first have to send the order and after that you can set sl/tp.

set loaddefaults=true to load the defaults of the setfile (except of lotsize)

Dear Traders,

Regarding this EA I have tried to back test it and forward test it with a modelling quality of 90% and here is what I have got:

1. If you used the default settings of this EA with lowest lots risk you will end up profitable no matter the conditions are even you back tested it over a long period of time.

2. If you tried to ignore the idea of letting the EA to go "Long&Short" in the settings and only chose one direction i.e. trade in the trend direction, the results are fabulous, and even your MDD and RDD will be very low.

I recommend to determine the trend from the daily chart or weekly chart and implement this EA on the 5min/15min chart in the direction of the trend and see the results for your self.

My computer is playing up. It keeps stopping halfway through the test.
But the results look good.

it needs to be adjusted , because when it wins it wins small amount but when he lose it's a big loss.

can sombody help me with that ?
