did you take a short on USD CHF? by the way how did you exit that long trade? did you just have a pre set profit target?

First I wanted to say this system looks very promising. Do you also use the ADX candle to confirm your entry? Looks safer.

No I didn't and my long target was the first resistance 1.1437

The first screenshot show us an uptrend in 15mn with the channel trend so I have not take the short signal in 5mn.
I think that we should not follow blindly all signals and I took a profit of 38 pips in this long trade.

Total profit 8h00-14h00 (Paris) +167

Thank you for sharing your system. I have a couple of questions here :
1. Are you trading manually or through an Expert Advisor ?
2. If you are running an EA, can you show us some backtesting statements.
3. How do you exit tardes : TP, reverse signals, or trailing stops ? Which one is the most triggered ?

Par la męme occasion Thierry, je peux programmer mon propre EA. J'attend just que le monde dans ce forum s'accorde sur un ou un ensemble d'indicateur (s) pour confirmer les bons "Trades".

1. Manually only
2. No, I do not like EA and no, my live statements are simply confidential
3. I used TP, reverse signal, trailing stop and I think that the most triggered is the reverse signal but the losses are not important in TF5mn.

you cant use CCI and RSI on the same time , bcs they tell the same story.
better learn to use CCI alone

I have been experimenting with something similar and if you put the CCI inside the custom RSI, it makes it easy to catch at a glance.

Interesting post Thierry. Pretty decent system indeed!

However, you'll find if you use CCI of 21, you'll filter out quite a few fake-outs. Sure you may lose a pip or 2 on a slightly late signal, but at least the signal will be affirmative.
