If you want 50, just change the input MA_1 & MA_2 to 50.

DislikedAgree.
To his own admission, TK has only traded this 2 weeks (which was a 'perfect' market for this) and 2 weeks is hardly enough to prove a systems robust nature.
If TK is making it work (and I mean really making it work - 2 weeks is not proof of anything) then it is because he is using additional technical analysis to filter channel periods.

we here not to spot a "in last two days" or "ive been only trading this in two weeks" contest.....
we here to make an imposible to a posible method....
we here aware of failure of this system but we still wanna break the boundaries between "a willing to test" and "a willing to steal a well tested method"
DislikedDid I miss something, TK said "in the last 2 weeks", not "I've only been trading this for 2 weeks". Surely no-one would post a system after only 2 weeks!!Ignored

DislikedI have modified the system to reduce the whipsawing. The following change has been made:
1. Reduce the moving average from 50 periods to 25 periods
2. Create entry Buy/Sell entry orders 50 PIPS from the moving average. For example, I am currently Long the GBP/JPY at 227.21. The current moving average is 227.78. I have a SHORT entry order at 227.28 and will adjust the entry order hourly on the hourly chart.
You can also make the entry points less than or greater than 50 PIPs. Narrower entry points will create more whipsawing and wider entry points will create less whipsawing.
I will also be posting my last proprietary system which I call the "Twisted Ribbon" system because the graphical indicators resemble a twisted ribbon when created on a chart. Based upon the "Whipsawing" feedback, I suspect most will be more comfortable with the "Twisted Ribbon" trending system...

DislikedTK, I do not understand. Should not your Long position have been 228.28 not 227.21? and when you say you will adjust every hour on the hourly chart, what does that mean? How are you adjusting?
Thanks for all your wonderful system you have given us.

DislikedHi TK,
I see that you have changed to one moving average from the original two. Can you give more details of the settings. Is it still 25 period and linear weighted? Is it open, close, median etc?
Could i ask for an updated list of settings maybe just like you posted at the beginning of this thread, just to avoid confusion.
Thanks for posting your systems, its very helpful to a newbie like me.

spud,
could u post that bill indicator and how to use it?

DislikedI combined this "new" version with Bill Williams Alligator and if you can look at the details with all the lines on the chart you will see that together they work nicely in getting rid of whipsaws.Ignored

Note: If you manually back test these indicators together, have plenty of Tylenol on hand as the indication for whipsaws is clearly there, but very tough on the eyeballs and concentration after an hour or two. Watching it live is much easier as you can see the trend and whipsaws develop.
I'll look at this more thoroughly through the day, to see if there are any clear rules to develop.Ignored
