Almost "by the book" trade. Cong! Did you enter mainly on TL break on daily or start of the 1hr candle outside the triangle or both? I am interested in main reason from your view, although it's more than clear setup.

the daily picture was because of showing u why i was looking for a buy ,and my entry was after that H1 close as i showed u

Afternoon everyone, having looked back through this morning's trading - no one took the down move on the EUR?

Managed to net a nice 95 pips to start the year. See attached:

Yup, I pulled in few..fast and furious though. Might have been hard to spot an entry on the 4hr timeframe but the clues were there either way.

Looking for short TC signal here on the Euro. Price has pierced through the 89 MA there. I think it's time we go back to short this pair IF possible and targeting the next 365 & 200 MAs.
We'll see it later on.

Hi Apocalypto (one of my favourite movie though),

Yesterday I post my chart of H1 entry strategy. It did well again. 4 out of 4 now (26 to go before this method is proven to be useful). Philip Nel's 4 Hour MACD rules still apply though when I use my H1 entry method. Just favor the SHORT entry now since the price is went below 89SMA in H4 chart. Basic+typical down trend motion.

Hey...how can I post my chart in this forum using .gif file like you guys did? I wish not to use pdf file anymore so that the others can see my chart directly. Did you guys use PowerPoint something?

Gona hunt more pips....yeeeeeehhhaaaaaaa...!!!!

It's simple.. As it is for me,on my MetaTrader4 I simply right click on the chart, then save as in .gif type, then choose on where to save my chart.

Next step, while typing what to post, I go to the table called "Thread Options", then click "Manage Attachments". Done

Hello all fellow traders,

I see the new year has given some of you a good start and hopefully it will be a great year for all. I myself stayed out of that short on the Eur as it did not satisfy my trading plan. Keeping with the rules, I think price might retrace back to the breakout trendline or back to the 21 before continuing to go short. The price is forming a nice Round Bottom and the MACD seems to be making a round bottom. We will have to wait and see at the close of the candle. So a slight counter trend might be possible here for a few pips before continuing its short direction.

Anyone with suggestions:
I did not take this trade as I would have been wrong. But price has been sitting on the 365sma which would be major resistance and price has shot down past the 89sma. Would this not be a good counter trend trade as per the rules? Can anyone elaborate. Palmer, Phillip, would love any feedback.

Hello guys...

Yesterday I sent my pdf file which indicate breakout probablity with SHORT entry signal usinh H1 chart with MACD set up 5.0;13.0;50.0 (the price did went down as ecpected).

Today, I send another example again on how we can make another SHORT entry in EUR/USD pair using this H1 method (which I believe it is already happened when I send this chart in this thread).

Please take note that I still apply Philip's 4 Hour rules and strategy and this method is still under trial. Let us see how does it goes

Do you mind changing it to the same MACD setting to phillip's so that me and the rest of the guys here on the thread could understand it better? Thanks in advance...

My H1 MACD set up is 5.0;13.0;50.0. If I set it up to Philip's MACD set up (5.0;13.0;1.0), the Second EMA a.k.a. Slow EMA (red line) in MACD window won't exist. I did not use MT4 chart as well. I use Easy Forex trading platform (this is where I open my account).

I purposely use this type of set up as I want to see how much the crossing between First & Second EMAs can give me good signal. Plus, it is still under trial. I have consulted by Philip's before and he ask me to do @ least 30+ demo test. So far 4 out of 4 give me positive result. I share this method so I can get comments from you guys and improve what is lack in this method. It is all about that.

Hello all,

this is a trade I took. My first of 2009.
Long USD/JPY. I entered on 1H on zero bounce macd signal. Also the +DI line on ADX crossed over the -DI line. I entered off of 21ema bounce on 1H. Looking at the 4H price is moving along the 8ema and thats why I switched to the 1H to get in early to get in some early pips incase move will be too big by the morning.

Entered 3 lots @ 93.45
Stop loss 92.90 (55 pips)
Targets:
1st +25 pips
2nd 93.90 (Daily R1)
3rd 94.40 (Daily R2)

Edit:
Closed 1/3 at +25 pips

Edit:
Closed 2/3 at +25 pips (as it is bed time)
Moved last lot BE -20 pips with 45 pip stop loss.

I am now in the plus for the entire trade. If it run in my direction then good morning to me. if it decides to turn around then the stop loss is there to make me sleep like a baby. lol

Edit:
By morning when i woke up. My final target point was hit on my last lot for 95 pips.

Total:
25+25+95=145/3=48.3 pips

It is clear now, thx . As long as we are still on the same macd method we're still on the same track.

Btw euro gave TC and I would've taken it if I were there on my laptop! Stoploss would've been small but I just wasn't there. Aww...
