Incidentally, I had CAD-JPY set to TRUE, but it didn't open the pair with all the others. Happened both times. Any thoughts anyone?
Cheers Steve, happy pips to you all.Ignored
DislikedI am having the same problem with CAD/JPY set to true, simply did not open at all up to now!

All pairs?
Using the trade manager as well?
Demo?
Do you think the 10% add is based on a big run or many great trades?

DislikedJeff and elchoco, thanks for bringing this up. It sent me for a look at the source code - I had not coded the ea to trade CADJPY. I hadn't noticed because I use IBFX, who do not offer this pair so I did not expect to see trades in it.
IBFX account holders can ignore this.
Alpari and non-IBFX users can download the latest and it should trade CADJPY.

DislikedThanks again Steve,
How about the other currency setup ?
Do you plan to put all option in one EA or just separate them by groups?
I suggest just separate them by group.. so we will have JPY only EA, USD only EA, GBP only EA etc........
What do you think?

DislikedHi Steve,
I still have reservations about always entering on the retrace as we are consistently betting against the trend.
At the beginning of the thread (anyone remember that?) there was talk of "passing 50% before entering".
I believe there might be real value in being able to open a SELL Basket as the trigger passes UP past a certain value rather than always opening a BUY Basket at what we hope is the extreme of the movement.
Being able to choose between a "trigger >=" & "trigger <=" variable would give us...Ignored
DislikedHi KG, Steve et al.
Perhaps I am reading it wrong, but here are some observations.
1.) The ea opens positions irrespective of Diff value - It opens longs below level 75 and shorts above 25 even when the Diff value doesnt support it. Is this right?Ignored
QuoteDisliked2) The account I am running the EA on with opening bal of 3000 now has an equity of 3065 (a little over 2%) But is also holding a drawdown of 4+ %
QuoteDisliked3) Several times the EA opened buy baskets while a previous sell basket was open with negative floats.
DislikedWhat you describe here, elchoco, is trading this combination of indis as KG originally intended. My ea is not written for this.Ignored
DislikedOn the international currency markets, the value of the Yen migt be falling, but if the other currencies in the basket are falling more quickly, then the Yen is becoming relatively stronger, even though its actual price is falling.Ignored
DislikedOK, totally fair point.
What we need is a way of seeing which is the "controlling" currency at any particular time. That was the reason for my question a week ago about "Why are we focussing on JPY??" If, in fact, the USD or EUR is making most of the waves, then we should be using that as the trigger.
