The confusion for me comes because I remember tk saying that he didn't wait for the close of a candle and yet his first example seems to be an entry at the close of a candle. I see I need more time seeing price action and getting a feel for this part of the trade set-up. I am amazed at how far the market can move in 2 minutes.

The conclusion. I always take 1/2 off the table and move my s/l to BE. So I always bag some pips. It helps me psycologically.

It is merely a coincidence if the bull eats bear happens to also be a bullish engulfing pattern. It has no bearing on this setup unless it moves higher than the preceeding red by 2 pips. ... .

I suspect the close just happened to be 2 pips above the prior candle. I think the fact it closed there was simply a coincidence.....

I'm done. And a reminder to all when you close out your position manually also don't forget to remove any pending orders. I just forgot that and gave back some pips. Still positive for the day. I will see you guys later. Good trading.

Did you have trouble with IBFX's MT4 crashing on you with the News indi?

Mine crashes instantly everytime. The News indi works fine on my Alpiri account MT4, though.

I would just like for it to work on IBFX.

I usually Take half at 10 pips. My initial sl is usually on avg about 20 pips. I then can move my stop up 10 pips or BE. Most of the time it is to BE because I like to book pips. And I know myself that when I go live that is what I will likely do.

I don't have that problem, but I did just try to open up my platform just now and was frozen. I'll try again in a few hours. If that is the case I'll just remove it as I don't really use it anyway.

There is another news indi at this post that works very well. Not as slick but you can put it in different corners to suit you. There are other options you can select that are self explanatory. I've used it for a while.

What would be ideal is a news indi that placed a vertical line on the chart prior to the news event with a brief explanation of the news and the impact. That way I could take all the other stuff off my chart. It may already exist , if someone has it please do share.

TK...I'd like to suggest that if you want to change this method...that a second thread be started. I think it would be great to keep this method pure as is. Folks that want to trade V2...maybe they can go to a V2 thread. My 2 cents.

The 2nd version is not actually different, just the next step. I wanted people to understand the 21sma candle eats candle concept before I open the door to even more trades and give you a way to determine what is too far from the 21sma and what is acceptable. I will have both templates on post 1 and a set of extra rules that you can apply to V2, V2 just doesn't need the indicators on the bottom. Both work great, V2 will be for more experienced traders but the core rules are exactly the same.

deepsouth knows what he is talking about btw, I read some of his posts on these last couple of pages

ubp you are doing great too but I notice you jumping the gun and not observing HH, HL and LH, LL all the time. This is fine but more aggressive just so people know.

I think most of you have this down but I am just commenting on the last couple of pages
